Multiple reasons more or less
The west, even if secular, is based of Christian|European values
There is a certain belief of what a family should be in the west, and the laws do protect it to a certain extent
It would be an absolute legal nightmare to manage. Parenthood, hereditary laws etc etc etc.
JUst take the legal construct - it is believed that the father of the child is the husband of a wife unless he protests it. So what do you do when you have 2 husbands for instance.
But at the same time, in western nations you don't have to be married in order to live together. Want to live in a polygamous group. You can and you won't be punished for it.

Religious norms. In the United States we went to war with Mormon Utah/Deseret over, among other things, polygamy being legal there. for most of our history the practice was seen as barbaric.
Poligamy should be legal to an extent. It should depend on wether or not you can support that many wives.
"When you marry an African woman, she must know the second is on the way and a third wife… this is Africa," Mohammed Junet, the lawmaker proposing the change was quoted as saying.
This cracks me the hell up. It's like he's using an african stereotype to justify the law. "It's Africa, we do shit like this k?"
a) If a guy has 3 wives and he dies... what then ? Are those three women somehow still a family and married ?
b) And what if a man with his wives want to move to some western country, would they be considered married/a family ?
Polyandry when

not exactly true, utah and new mexico have some strange invasive laws that are ment to prevent exactly this because it was just a bunch of old men starting communes of young women essentially enslaved to them.
the problem is in the west, when women are educated they don't get married out of lack of options, they get married because they love someone and its not really possible in human nature to be intimately in love with multiple partners, men sharing a woman will get jealous, women sharing a man will get jealous, it just happens. the reason why palimony works in these 3rd world countries and in many middle eastern countries is the women have little to no rights, little to no education, and a social norm dictating that they are inferior to men.
its inequality that allows polygamy not christian values, just look at asian nations they don't have polygamy either and they are based on much different values

That's for the west in general, but what about seculiar countries where christian values don't apply? Wouldn't it be great if you could live as a household of around 5-6 adult men/women? And by that I mean that it'd be less housing taxes to pay for everyone involved, as is currently the case in standard marriages.

It's something that the pastor don't preach

It's a complete mess from a legal management and tax standpoint. It's just too much hassle to be worth it.
Monogamy is the norm and polygamy would be a legal nightmare to manage. Not to mention it would partially justify the crazier Mormons with their polygamy village cults.
You can have 100 women, you just can't be married to multiple women.
Just look at Hugh Hefner.
Well polygamy only counts for marriages so you can still have 20 girls in your house but only be married to one
