I'm calling BS. It's sounded like he's had at least some good support.
That doesn't really mean people will vote for you come election day mind. People tend to just vote how they always vote annoyingly.
Uh.
Only 12% of the polling stations are reporting in that image. Those numbers are not final
Only 12% of the polling stations are reporting in that image. Those numbers are not final
I'm aware, but that looks real bad regardless.
He's got 1 vote now.

tbh you should buy that person a nice bottle of wine and take them out for dinner.
I'm sorry, but has any independent candidate - heck, any non-Democrat or Republican - in this entire election gotten more than 5% of the vote? I've been keeping a sort-of eye on the bottom and I am kind of shocked at how dominant the Republicans/Democrats are. Does the USA really want to have a two-party election in... every election?
Only 2 votes so far.
He's got 1 vote now.
We're getting reports that he now has a whopping 2 votes!
not the final numbers, but this still seems really small for what's been collected hoping for a boost in numbers shortly
We're getting reports that he now has a whopping 2 votes!
Well, it is a 100% increase in support since the last tally. But honestly, I feel like the other 80% will hold more votes for him, though I'm unsure if it'd be enough to get elected. I'm crossing my fingers though; it'd be really cool to see cubeman get elected.
This just in, 4 votes Went from 0% to 1%

Voting is basically just fighting to have your football team win here. The majority don't consider anyone except their own party because its easier then searching for what the candidates actually stand for.
American politics are retarded. In my opinion Australia has much better ones, now if only our voters weren't all conservative fuckwits who elect people like tony abbot.
No one votes for the independent because no one thinks anyone else will vote for the independents. And elections like these are very minor; people don't have time to inform themselves on council members so they just vote with their political party. Running on an independent platform was a suicide mission from the beginning and I think he knew that.
Oh man, that kinda bums me out. Sounds like this system is going to become very stagnant very quickly. Thanks for the lesson.
Oh man, that kinda bums me out. Sounds like this system is going to become very stagnant very quickly. Thanks for the lesson.
It's been that way for a very long time.
The stream is basically, make fun of peoples stupid faces.

Preferential voting is much better and less susceptible to this problem. It does have problems though, but less than FPTP.
This is why I am against the two party system
Don't worry. The experience one gets campaigning will come in handy in the future, despite the defeat tonight. There will be more elections and there will be grander campaigns!
Even with my lose tonight, I won
32% and only 4 votes.
Even with my lose tonight, I won
There's always next election. Improve your campaign as much as you can. Learn what you did wrong and make it right. Follow your dream against all odds. Also, 4 votes is fucking bullshit.
In calling bullshit
We all know who the real winner was tonight. jokes aside, you started this and stuck with it to the end. With experience gained from the whole ordeal, I'm wishing you luck if/when you campaign again.
you should stay hopeful. sometimes the votes change really rapidly.
