U.S. will change course on climate policy, Trump official says
You got my hopes up with the title, thought maybe Trump was wising up to the idea of climate change.
That's also what I was hoping to see. But nope, let's just try to sink this ship even faster.
Trump appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, who has led 14 lawsuits against the EPA, as the agency's administrator, although a vote on his nomination has not been scheduled.
Trump also has drawn heavily from the energy industry lobby and pro-drilling think tanks to build its landing team for the EPA, according to a list of the newly introduced 10-member team seen by Reuters on Monday
I'm sure there was no oil money at all involved in making this decision, no siree, because we all know Honest Don promised to drain that swamp!
Ok can I say this, fuck whoever made this term, all it has done is lead idiots to believe this is an actual thing that magically removes carbon emissions, all it in reality is are technologies that reduce emissions, not 100% get rid of them. Whenever I bring this up, apparently I'm reciting lies because "why would they call it clean coal then?"
:scream:
It sounds to me like the people you bring this up to aren't familiar with the term "marketing wank".
The GOP are actually criminals
Ten points to gryffindor!
Trump and the GOP's denial of climate change alone makes them unfit to be in public office, in my opinion.
One really wishes they could be legally removed from office and disarmed sooner than two years.
I am holding onto hope that we will be able to utterly defeat the GOP in the next elections (and forever after that), but if they actually are going to keep up this self-destructive policy then I would put the future of mankind above political morals. It might get bad enough that we will see violence against people that continue to enable the problems that harm the world, especially when millions of people in this country are displaced by them.
In the future, if people still vote GOP because of their promises of clean coal while Florida is entirely submerged, then idk there might be something much bigger that needs fixing.
So wait, are we going to have to point to the Beijing Olympics as an example of why this is an awful idea?
So much for the theory that it doesn't matter what Trump thinks about climate change because he is going to save the environment by building nuclear plants.

here lies,
RIPBILLYMAYS's
hopes and dreams
Just... WHY?
FUCKING WHY?
HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT THINK CLIMATE CHANGE ISN'T A HOAX? CAN YOU EVEN BE ANY MORE TRANSPARENT WITH ALL THOSE BRIBES YOU'RE GETTING TO PUSH THE IDEA AWAY?!
Fucking WOW, how is it even possible... I SINCERELY do not know how anyone can be this stupid.
I hope people call for Trump's blood whenever the health of "his" people take a hit due to the polution.
Help us Musk, you're our only hope!
Christ it's like he's trying to do as much as possible to fuck over the world in the shortest time
He'll do anything to appease his puppet master Putin. And undermine the United States to make Russia the dominant super power.
He's already done so much!
If this idiot manages to eke out his entire term I fully expect him to let Russia operate a manned military base in the capital "as a show of good faith".
Something tells me I should save this message and frame it somewhere with today's date.
Oh my God fuck anyone who supports this guy. For what ever else good he may bring it is not worth this planet. And it's far from being overly dramatic, this is so utterly fucked.
[editline]30th January 2017[/editline]
Just try justifying killing earth for any reason for just fucking try
Maybe it's good that we kill each other off so Earth can renew itself.
Humanity itself is a part of Earth. We still have the chance to renew ourselves. There is still people willing to repair or control as much damage as possible. But we're gonna have to work our fucking asses off. And sacrifices will have to be made.
If one of your legs is hit by gangrene, you don't eat the barrel of a gun and pull the trigger. You simply saw off the affected limb.
A lot of people are going to suffer because of this. And we won't be able to save everyone. All because a few greedy bastards, who won't live long enough to feel the effects of their actions, just wanted to fill their massive money vaults a little more.
Holy fuck. One day he does something stupid that you think is the worst and the next it's even worse. This is beginning to feel very paradoxical.
It's okay because we'll make a ton of money off of fossil fuel and then we'll die before we even see the effects. :poot:
Let's get into the popcorn business, it's a nonstop thriller!
Okay Trump, look.
The EPA brought acid rain to our attention, and suggested we stop pumping sulfides into the atmosphere to stop it.
We did, and it stopped.
Then the EPA and climate scientists world-wide noted that the Ozone Layer was diminishing. They also stated that chlorine-containing compounds (like CFCs and HCFCs) were the culprit, and that we should stop pumping them into the atmosphere.
We did, and it stopped diminishing, and the Ozone Layer is now recovering as a result.
Now we have evidence, collected over 150 years, that the planet is getting warmer, and that it has ties to increased CO2 emissions, even from oil company Exxon Mobil as far back as the 70s. Even if it weren't getting warmer, we'd benefit from a sustainable, renewable energy infrastructure that doesn't rely on coal (which is prohibitively expensive to burn "cleanly"), oil (which is carcinogenic and causes big problems when it leaks), etc., as it would maintain cleaner air and water.
"Nah, fuck that noise, it's all a hoax!"
Funny how there are no trump supporters trying to defend this and yet they will say he's doing good on other things in relation to other ludicrous things he does. But on something so seriously as this.. No one ...... *silence*

They don't care - some think it is a hoax, others just don't care because they will be dead before things get severe anyways.
Can we impeach this guy yet? Hopefully the rest of the world can go hard enough on emissions to still make enough of a difference with the US playing silly games.
I'm surrounded by climate change denialists and it just baffles me. My whole family thinks it's a load of shit. I wish I could change their minds.
