It's better because you can shout something before you die.
What a winner.
There is no official procedure for execution by firing squad. However, it is believed that five correctional officers will participate, each aiming at the inmate’s trunk. Some will have blanks and some will have live ammunition so that no one knows which gun committed the actual killing.
A Utah firing squad employs 5 riflemen, 1 of whom fires a blank.
They shoot at his ass?
I would request a sharpie and a fireing squad,
"SHOOT RIGHT HERE"
draw X on head.
What the hell are you talking about? An execution is just a few minutes of joy, and if it wasn't for that my good parent already was dead, and someone would kill him, I'd get alot more joy to visit that person every weekend and taunt that person renentlessly.

Would you want to die instantly, or would you want to wait a while and hope evidence that's on your side shows up?
Would you want to die instantly, or would you want to wait a while and hope evidence that's on your side shows up?
Assuming the criminal has control over when he dies. What he wants doesn't matter. It's a waste of money to store him in a little box on death row for 20 years waiting, and personally I would want it to come quickly. However, I feel that there should be at least time for gathering counter evidence, 1 year should be more than enough time. If you can't find any in a year's time, there isn't any.
Edit:
Violations of the contract
The social contract and the civil rights it gives us are neither "natural rights" nor permanently fixed. Rather, the contract itself is the means towards an end — the benefit of all — and (according to some philosophers such as Locke or Rousseau), is only legitimate to the extent that it meets the general interest ("general will" in Rousseau). Therefore, when failings are found in the contract, we renegotiate to change the terms, using methods such as elections and legislature. Locke theorized the right of rebellion in case of the contract leading to tyranny.
Since civil rights come from agreeing to the contract, those who choose to violate their contractual obligations, such as by committing crimes, abdicate their rights, and the rest of society can be expected to protect itself against the actions of such outlaws. To be a member of society is to accept responsibility for following its rules, along with the threat of punishment for violating them. In this way, society works by "mutual coercion, mutually agreed upon" (Hardin 1968).
Screw firing squad or unbearably painful death but they won't know that injection, I say we get a deathcourse full of prisoners. If you survive, you get set free. If you die, you die. it's like MXC, but less brutal.

I think Arnold Schwarzenegger was in a movie like that.
The Running Man, I believe.
I'd definitely chose firing squad, seems much quicker and less painful.

Apparently not, because innocent people are being acquitted from crimes they were convicted of years after their trials.
Honestly, I can think of more than a few reasons why the death-penalty is fallible, but the mere fact that the justice system isn't a perfect system is the best reason.

That's not how it works in America. Well, North America.
You lose certain rights when you perpetrate a crime, but you maintain certain rights.
Bad-ass. Also if you survive the firing squad you get to walk free (you would also be the luckiest man alive).
Go out with style, I hope they give him the complementary cigarette.

I believe this is quicker than lethal injection, although it could be seen as "cruel and unusual".
you've no idea what 7 men armed with .308 caliber rifles are capable of against one guy.
I would chose firing squad ANY DAY. Lethal injection is basically you watching a bunch of nazi doctors OD you with pain killers and feeling your body shut down helplessly. There's no honor in that.

go deal crack or reinact the Wire with your siblings
They use .30-30 rifles. There are five guys, but one will be firing a blank, and no one finds out who has the blank. It's so none of the shooters feel guilty about killing the guy.
To bad blanks have almost no recoil.
*Bullet goes through head* HAHAHAHA FUCK YOU I GOT PAINKILLER *Prances off*
What if the fellas in the firing squad were really inaccurate? :v:
Then you walk free.

I an think of more stylish ways to die.
Being hung, drawn and quartered is about as badass a way you can go, next to seppuku.
you've no idea what 7 men armed with .308 caliber rifles are capable of against one guy.
Of all people, I'd expect Idi Amin to know that.

So they'll go back to jail, it'll be like a juridical ping-pong match, alittle something for the kids too.

Sounds like a great use of government money.
Sounds like a great use of government money.
Do you really wanna bring up that? I mean, here's a few other great uses:
War on drugs.
Anti Immigration.
Anti Terrorism.
The Army.
Untaxed Churches.
Hilary Clinton (Let's face it, she's a robot programmed to destroy the world).
Cencorship.
Gun Control (That worked out great, a gunfree zone is now a zone where madmen knowns nobody will shoot back).
School Saftey (Abusive fake cops pointing guns at children, fucking brilliant).
Airport security (Since it's such a big deal if yet another firearm comes in to the states).
...Trust me, those money have been misplaced for a really long time, sorry if I don't approve of strapping someone down and then murdering them mercilessly, it's just unfair. A duel? Sure, why not? But this is just downright evil. Especially since it's common for people on death row to be framed/innocently convicted.
Killing another human being, is never the answer when they cannot be directly harmful. Everyone deserves life, pherhaps not freedom, but nobody should be allowed to determine someone's right to exsist.
To bad blanks have almost no recoil.
They still have recoil, very similar to the actual round.
Not as much, no, but pretty damn close.
They still have recoil, very similar to the actual round.

not at all, not even a fraction

I agree, speed up the appeals or something. All death row is doing is wasting money keeping convicted killers alive while they bitch and moan. In my opinion, if you do something fucked up enough for a jury to agree that you should die, you should just be killed. I remember when they hung Saddam they didn't waste any time at all, couple of days and they hung his ass. Saves time and money, not to mention it kinda relieves crowding in the prisons.

Did anyone think of this?
To bad blanks have almost no recoil.
When you fire at a something living, such as when you are hunting, you don't remember the recoil. You are to focused on hitting the target for it to really even merit perception.
I believe this is quicker than lethal injection, although it could be seen as "cruel and unusual".
I'd rather be shot immediately than wait 3 years to be slowly murdered with a needle.
