I want this game so bad, but they are working their hardest to make sure I don't buy it. When the CEO said that "Nobody is interested in bots" a while back I died a little inside.
What? Why do I keep wanting this game less and less.
quick everyone make a gigantic stink about it then maybe they'll change it. for all people get upset about people bitching, it usually works.
Theres a difference between not being right because of developing problems and lying to people who might have pre-bought your game when you have full control over it.
This is hilarious, so because Valve lied that's perfectly fine and acceptable? So what about all the people that preordered Half Life 2 then Valve said they were delaying it, they were in control of it same as they were in control of releasing the episodes on time.
"Nobody is interested in bots".
I am. When i'm not connected to the internet I can still play on maps and its great practice. [editline]19th August 2011[/editline]
This is hilarious, so because Valve lied that's perfectly fine and acceptable?
What? When did I ever say that. There is a huge difference between giving a release date and saying you won't do something you definitely plan on doing to buying customers. How can you really play that off as me just being a valve fanboy? No one would get angry if EA said battlefield 3 needed another month to get done.

What's with the Valve shit talking lately?, it worries me.
If the game does not meet my expectations 100% it must be shitty. Thats what i got from the last 10 pages. People are whining and crying too much.

If you really read the past 10 pages you would know why people are angry at EA.
Considering linking this thread on the EA Forums. I'm sure EA won't like to see all those preorders disappear. Surely.
They will surely be threatened by 10 bitches canceling their pre-orders.
Have you learned nothing from the past hour?
The fact that they have it for the console shows how little time it would take to make ti for the pc version. Even if they just wanted to port the xbox version over it would be better then nothing and again not the hardware its more of it being vista that causes it to freeze then me not having good hardware and having other autorun programs for why firefox takes a while to open up. It means it will take a while if I want to play battlefield as soon as I get home.
The console and PC versions have always had a different menu system in DICE games. You can't compare them or say one is easier than the other when they're completely different.
I'm going to wait a good month or so to see if I'll buy the game after it comes out. For some reason, I foresee a lot of problems with Origin not working, battlelog being DDOS'ed or simply unavailable due to it being hammered, and other such bullshit. At least when Steam's cloud servers are down, you can still play the games online. It's already quite annoying when your TF2 backpack is unavailable. Imagine how rage inducing BF3 will be when you can't play it online AT ALL because battlelog is unresponsive. It's just such a recipe for a massive disaster, that you can't really justify not waiting a few weeks to see if the system isn't going to blow up in their face.
Have you learned nothing from the past hour?
Oh my lord you must be fucking psychotic.
If the game does not meet my expectations 100% it must be shitty. Thats what i got from the last 10 pages. People are whining and crying too much.
Enjoy your boxes.
Have you learned nothing from the past hour?
Oh shut up, people can say whatever they want, without having somebody like you to say "Have you learned nothing from the past hour?" !
Enjoy your boxes.
Enjoy waiting even longer for BF3.
Oh shut up, people can say whatever they want, without having somebody like you to say "Have you learned nothing from the past hour?" !
apparently not.
We can have our opinions goddammit, stop telling us we have to buy the game, some people only were considering buying it not some "#1 fan follow all the tweets BF4life on their arm swear oaths on BF2 copy" players.
Enjoy waiting even longer for BF3.
Enjoy accepting bullshit in games because you want to play it now.
Enjoy waiting even longer for BF3.
It's not exactly like BF3 is the only cool game being released in that period. I don't trust this system at all. Remember how bad Steam sucked for the first few months? Now imagine if it wasn't handled by Valve, but EA, and you have a good idea of what Origin will be like. The Titanic just fucking crashed into an iceberg. People are still dining on the main deck to fancy live orchestral music, claiming it'll all turn out just fine. That's the kind of disaster this will turn into.
The only BF I played was BC2. I, for example, am not some diehard BF fan, I can live without it, in my eyes it's just one less $50 game to buy. Why can't people get this? Not everyone "NEEDS" BF3, so these "small" issues are enough to lose their purchase. And before all of this the EAUK forums did nothing but criticize how it's BC3 and they actually had solid in game proof (one thing off the top of my head: the autoknife).
This doesn't really affect GAMEPLAY at all, so it won't be an issue for me. Once I'm in the game I'll have fun and enjoy the game, I'm not going to let a distribution service or a server browser affect that.

You make a valid point though, I'm worried a PSN will happen. Haven't even thought about that.
This is seriously a design issue. Why shouldn't it be built in game. Sometimes it takes some time to find a good server. What are my friends and I supposed to do? All choose different servers and then pick out of the ones we are in? [editline]19th August 2011[/editline] I didn't mind the concept of battlelog when I thought it was the main menu of bf3.
Oh my lord you must be fucking psychotic.
All I have heard from you is insults form every point I make and they aren't even making sense anymore. You sound like you're just being a fanboy. Not everyone is as hyped for battlefield as you and if someone people are angry because of the stuff that EA has done then I don't blame them. You act like everyone who deosn't buy the game the second it comes out is some idiot or something. Oh he got banned. Hope when he comes back he wont just flame everywhere.
Oh shut up, people can say whatever they want, without having somebody like you to say "Have you learned nothing from the past hour?" !
If we are able to say whatever I want then that applies to me as well. [editline]19th August 2011[/editline]
The console and PC versions have always had a different menu system in DICE games. You can't compare them or say one is easier than the other when they're completely different.
Yes but it wouldn't be that hard to create a server list in game. Really I will admit i'm not a game expert but can you really say putting an ingame browser when they already made one for the consoles and made a browser for a website would really be that hard? I mean it doesn't have to look pretty or anything just take the same information that the site is taking. I mean if super small indie games can have browsers I don't really see why it would be so hard for a company like dice to make another one.
Yeah and it is built in the game: for consoles only.
Well that's understandable. You can't Alt+Tab and surf Battlelog on an Xbox.
Linked this thread on the EA forums, if you want to go through the tedious sign up and back me up, here's the link. Because I'm fairly sure EA aren't going to read FP.
Well that's understandable. You can't Alt+Tab and surf Battlelog on an Xbox.
And yet you wouldn't want to on the pc, so why bother? In this case I wouldn't care if it was directly ported.
