Battlefield 3 PC Version won't have in-game server browser - Polidicks

This doesn't make any sense. Why would anyone think this is a good idea?

From what I seen its going to be like facebook but for battlefield and I don't think im going to be that in to the game.

It worked fine in the alpha. I don't see the difference really. If anything it is easier to search for games and discuss with friends if the actual game isn't running when I'm not on a server. If you want to whine, whine about something that matters and may actually be changed, like they did with the commo rose.

EA really wants their Origin to succeed. I'm a bit irritated with their recent moves on BF3 but it isn't stopping me from getting the game. I've played Splinter Cell:Conviction, GTA:IV, and Assassin's Creed 2 which all has their own services you need to run regardless and you get used to it. I only play these games once and a while. If I were to do this on a daily basis, then it would get irritating. Plus, the online browser from BF3 Alpha wasn't bad at all, it was quick and responsive.

I don't like their decisions, but they're really not game breakers for me. I'm not pre-ordering though.

I never really had thoughts about getting this for PC,[sp]dem upgrades for PC[/sp], but I started to think that I could in the quite distant future. Don't worry guys, I'm sure someone out there has the knowledge to add a server browser via a mod.

I've also never had a problem with their server browsers, just Punkbuster.
