The Red Orchestra 2 boat is open to all passengers and will gladly take all Battlefield 3 refugees across the Volga and into Stalingrad.
The Red Orchestra 2 boat is open to all passengers and will gladly take all Battlefield 3 refugees across the Volga and into Stalingrad.
My ship already set sail several weeks ago. I've never been interested in BF3. There I said it.
Source Why is EA trying to reduce PC sales?
If you're not buying the game because of no in-game server browser, you don't really deserve to play it. It wasn't a big deal in the alpha. It was a pain in the ass, but it's playable.
have you used the server browser? to me it looks like people who have played the alpha doesn't mind much
It wasn't bad at all actually, it worked perfectly fine and having to re-start the game every time I wanted to join a server wasn't that bad. You could just use the in game web-browser or alt-tab. Also don't mix this up with match making, BF3 will not have matchmaking there will only be dedicated servers.
Having used battlelog during the alpha, I like it, and this "news" doesnt bother me at all I for one welcome our new browser plugin
According to a Twitter post from someone from DICE, you don't even need to Alt-Tab the game launches very fast.
It's seems the only one bitching about it are the ones who haven't played the alpha, the ones who do have tough are perfectly fine with it. What I'm saying is don't judge it now because you have no idea how it will be like. You don't know for a fact that it will be slower and worse just because it's not in game.
This sums up what I think of EA and Battlefield 3 right now:
What the fuck is this?
I smell irony considering the topic titles you've made in this very forum. :v: Why do people even get so fired up over BF vs CoD? They're practically the same thing at this point. The only winning move in this argument is to not play. It's like the argument between Guitar Hero and Rock Band back in the day.
Open origin > Open bf3 > Opens a browser > Play bf3 > Don't like server > Close game and open browser > Repeat until find decent game
I guess he hasent heard of GTA:SA MP
I remember 3 months ago when every bit of news from battlefield made it even more awesome. Now all it is stupid crap EA is trying to shove down are throats because they know we want battlefield. I'm getting this game but i'm happy there are people out there boycotting it.
According to a Twitter post from someone from DICE, you don't even need to Alt-Tab the game launches very fast.
It started the maps in alpha faster for me then it takes to load a map in BC2. Then you have to take in the account how you have to start BC2 too first and then login too. It didn't actually feel like I started the game it all it just instantly popped up and started loading the map.
According to a Twitter post from someone from DICE, you don't even need to Alt-Tab the game launches very fast.
incredibly fast, its so much faster than opening BC2, finding a server and loading the map as Fisk said, it seems people complaining and acting like this is the end of the world are the ones who didnt play the alpha. You still have a server browser.. just not in the game... chill all your beans
FUCKING WHAT. WHAT. Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME. Ridiculous. FUCKING RIDICULOUS.

Other then that I have been getting great news recently because of Commo-rose, new trailer, Flying will be more like Bf2 then Bc2, fixing 3D spotting, showing how huge the maps actually will be and more.

I dont really care at all, i actually like battlelog for some reason. it feels unique IMO.
I'm still getting the game, no in game server browser isn't much.
It's seems the only one bitching about it are the ones who haven't played the alpha, the ones who do have tough are perfectly fine with it.
Exactly! Anyone in here who played the alpha and DIDN'T like the external server browser?
The consoles have an in game browser
look, obviously the developers would only do something like this if they could make it work, and it sounds like it works fine [editline]wef[/editline] also it's funny because someone cancelled their pre-order without even knowing in detail how it worked
Me.
I played the alpha and the external browser was excellent! The game booted super fast (since it doesn't have to load the main menu, and no startup videos. It goes straight to the Map loading screen. Having to quit and boot again takes seconds. Is not inconvenient at all. That said. I think they should have an in-game version for those people with slower computers.
Don't judge untill the Beta, and when the beta is over don't judge (If it was bad) until they confirm they won't change it which I am pretty sure they will if people think it is bad. It's an open beta for christ sake so everyone on the bloody earth will have a chance to put their opinion in and if enough people actually hate it they will, and believe me they will change it.
Funny that everyone complains about changing servers and stuff like that. Most probably haven't even tried it, because it's faster than switching servers in BFBC2 or any other Battlefield game.
Yeah, but it's such a stupid and unnecessary feature. It has no purpose. Battlelog could've been built into the game. Hell, it could've even had a browser based counterpart for people that DO like it. It's something that could so simply be avoided it's idiotic.
I jumped off the Battlefield 3 boat sometime ago when this mess started. I even warned people it would get worse. The good thing is that because I got out early, this stuff doesn't upset me.
Remember that one article that BF3 PC is getting the special attention? This sounds like it.
My god FP, chill your beans. There's still a server browser, remember GTA IV's horrible multiplayer? People still liked GTA IV, calm down.
