how has that worked out for you so far?
It hasn't, because it is currently privatized, just the FAA runs things like the traffic control towers.
I think the TSA is just one of the gears in a larger plan to keep us all repressed and to keep us living in constant fear. TSA - Terrorists Search Americans. All these new security protocols are just designed to take our freedoms away one at a time. I wonder when there's going to be an uprising.
I take it you're also one of those guys who listens to Alex Jones on a daily basis and believes that the Government/Space Alien Reptillians/The Rothschilds are trying to bring about a New World Order and institute global martial law? Just guessing here...
It hasn't, because it is currently privatized, just the FAA runs things like the traffic control towers.
bro what..?
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that exercises authority over the safety and security of the traveling public in the United States.[1]
at what point did the tsa become privatized? because by all means that would be awesome
I've seen plenty of private run business/programs/ventures/whatever be half assed.
That may be true, but its up to the consumer to choose if they fail or not. When the free market is working properly, you either please the consumer(s), or fail.
Social Security and Medicaid.
Yes and everyone on SS and medicaid is totally legit. /sarcasm
bro what..? at what point did the tsa become privatized? because by all means that would be awesome
I mean the airlines themselves, the TSA is pretty much airport security as far as the pat-downs go. TSA should be gone all together or at least stop the super intensive scanning. [editline]15th September 2011[/editline]
Yes and everyone on SS and medicaid is totally legit. /sarcasm
Fraud rate's less than 2%, don't get ahead of yourself there.
Fraud rate's less than 2%, don't get ahead of yourself there.
Ok, you got me there...but first, source?
Dumb motherfucker should have known in the first place that once you CREATE a federal agency, you CANNOT get rid of it. We created a whole new bureau for enforcing Prohibition. When Prohibition ended, do you think all of those people just up and quit? Fuck no. Hello, ATF, going nearly a century strong.
For a second there I thought It said the creator of TSL would cancel his series...
It hasn't, because it is currently privatized, just the FAA runs things like the traffic control towers.
It used to be just fine, but now the TSA are taxing the ever loving shit out of the airlines. Fuel prices are already killing them and the TSA is just making the issue worse.
Two things I think need to be said on behalf of the TSA: there haven't been any airplane bombings or hijackings since the underwear bomber which does suggest that they do help some, and two if you don't like the patdown TAKE THE FREAKIN' BODYSCAN you are exposed to more radiation every minute at cruising altitude than you are while being scanned.
Ok, you got me there...but first, source?
There isn't a big number to evaluate all social service fraud, so I'm going to go off the statistic for Unemployment Insurance, which was 1.9% in 2001. http://waysandmeans.house.gov/legacy/humres/107cong/6-11-02/6-11find.htm Key quote is this: "Finally, $580 million of the $2.45 billion in total UI overpayments for 2001, or 1.9% of total UI payments for that year, was attributable to fraud or abuse within the UI program. By any standard, these figures add up to a lot of money. That is why the Department of Labor has been hard at work on the problem." Now, if unemployment insurance fraud, which you have to remember was the big thing the GOP didn't want to extend because of fraud and dependency, is less than 2%, then I am positive that other social service programs are not far off.

Hello, ATF, going nearly a century strong.
The solution is simple then, create a new agency to get rid of the old one.

The TSA is like the drug war, it sucks in so much in federal funding and provides so many perks to certain Congresspeople's districts that it will never be scaled back. It will just balloon and balloon until we're wasting $100 billion a year on paying people to molest us.
