It really isn't, because it can lead to relatively brutal medical issues if not done well.

Though a lot of countries allow for "communal distilleries" to exist.

If a dealer wants to even be remotely respectable they'd use an ehrlich reagent test on the tabs and wouldn't dare sell anything other than LSD as acid. nBOME is the kind of shit that kills people in larger-than-intended doses, which people often take more than one tab of LSD and can lead to some serious shit. Just throwing that out there.
