So... almost every war then.
Depends on the individual motives of the war. If someone wages a war because he dislikes a particular people, he isn't doing it to influence those people - just kill or capture them.
Slippery gypsy's.
so... much... dickwaving JUST FUCKING FIGHT ALREADY
I hope the two don't get to war. It will probably end up the first major armed conflict int he 21st century.
Terrorist is an odd term. And for that one must look up terrorism; Every war ever fought is, by definition, fought by terrorists. The term is used very differently though.
Generally it's more aimed at terrorising the civilian population and has that as it's primary method. Most wars are done by killing the other side's soldiers and enforcing your will by force. Terrorism isn't so direct and uses the terror it creates to force the civilian side to surrender and turn against their military. Also it's more than often used for militants who have no country affiliations and are not soldiers, mostly because a lot of terrorist techniques are illegal by most rules of war.
Iran admits shit like this, the USA keep it secret... And wait, Israel admitted something along those lines too?!
Iran admits shit like this, the USA keep it secret... And wait, Israel admitted something along those lines too?!
Israel killed some civillian Iranian scientists with magnet bombs, so they officially sponsor terrorism too.
Seriously? We couldn't even get past page one without people bringing it back to how Israel is a million times worse than anything, ever. They are openly pledging money to any and all terrorist groups who want to attack Israel just because they want to attack Israel, BUT Israel has done a few acts of espionage so they are way worse.
A foreign super power invades your western neighbor and your eastern neighbor and now calls for economic sanctions against you while staunchly supporting a country that you share mutual hatred for, I think I would be pretty pissy too.
Plus, cultural influences. This plays a bigger role than you might think. China was really pissed, too when the West forced them to open their harbors and markets. Similarly, people in the West - especially in Europe I think - get quickly upset over Muslim culture "invading" theirs. It's why internet censorship is such a big thing "over there", they fear of losing the integrity of their traditions by mixing their culture with Western culture. If war isn't fought because of religion or resources, it's because of ideology. But yeah, Israel is seen as a terrible bully over there. Right from the beginning of its founding. How they systematically cut and control rare water supplies is despicable - and since the West supports it, the West also gains some of the hateful glares of course.
Religious leaders ALWAYS know the best rhetoric to winning PR wars.

I love how you immediately try to derail and get the blame off Israel as fast as you can. It's not espionage, idiot, it's assassination of civillians. Hence terrorism.
But but but Israel is the evil one! :v:
At least they're honest about it. Anyone tell 'em we knew months ago?
A foreign super power invades your western neighbor and your eastern neighbor and now calls for economic sanctions against you while staunchly supporting a country that you share mutual hatred for, I think I would be pretty pissy too.
And yet if you had any sense in your head you'd realize that prodding the bear will only result in your nation being reduced to a pile of rubble. If I were the guy in charge of Iran right now I'd be as quiet as possible. Nervous or not, starting a war with America or Israel would only end badly for Iran.

At least that's how I see it.

Meanwhile Iran sponsoring terrorism is ok because Israel does worse, and no-one in these threads has the coherence to see the irony in this. Again, no-one understands what terrorism means. The assassination of a high value target like a nuclear scientist is far from the indiscriminate killings of actual terrorism. At least that's how I see it.
Maybe, it's better to compartmentalise issues and solve them in their scope rather than look at it all coupled. I wouldn't look at the Cold war and say Russia was the lesser of two evils because America was still racially segregated for most of it. Neither would I look at the Iraq-Iran war and call Iraq the better because their dictatorship was secular rather than religiously fanatical.
God, Iran and Israel just need to get it over with and bang. The sexual tension is horrifying.

It's not terrorism when you murder an iranian particle physicist CIVILLIAN, but it is when you murder a random Israeli.
Iran has a massive set of balls.
This is getting more terrible every day. :(
It's terrorism either way~
Exactly. He's saying that the killing of scientists, civillians who benefit other people, is not terrorism.
Exactly. He's saying that the killing of scientists, civillians who benefit other people, is not terrorism.
...??? BOTH of them are saying it's terrorism all around
honestly, why did we put the fucking Jews next to the fucking Muslims, AND give them the fucking land that's considered holy for the main world religions? How about we instead fucking give them somewhere else and establish the area as a neutral DMZ for religious peace. That'd solve every fucking problem we have.
iran and israel should have a war that would totally solve the differences of politicians, and only a few peasant commoners would die! perfect!
Yeah because wars solve everything
Haha, amazing. It's not terrorism when you murder an iranian particle physicist CIVILLIAN, but it is when you murder a random Israeli.
A thick-headed one, aren't you? Lest we loosen the term so everything from Syria to WW2 is terrorism, there needs to be a better definition of it. Terrorism is the act of targeting civilians with acts of violence near indiscriminately for the purpose of causing panic and terror among the general civilian populace. Assassinating a scientist has the purpose of killing a scientist and hindering their progress in that regard. Killing random civilians in a country town serves no purpose other than belligerence and terror.
ter·ror·ism/ˈterəˌrizəm/ Noun: The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.
Do you think I could get a scholarship from them if I say I want to further my education so I can remove Israel's oppressive regime?
You love the Jewish cock don't you, baby? ter·ror·ism/ˈterəˌrizəm/ Noun:The use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.
JFK assasination, TERRORISM. Stalingrad, TERRORISM. Libyan and Syrian civil wars, TERRORISM. Every civilian death in history, TERRORISM. Get the picture yet?
I find this surprising (the act of admitting, not the act of terrorism). Imagine the US admitting all their little adventures all over South America during the Cold War.
