How?
using their site, if you login and click onto any product that is out of stock or above a price you want you can add alerts and I added them to the 320GB PS3 that is going for £99.
This image pretty much epitomises why they are shit
Game has shown its true colours in the past, preventing a multitude of games from showing up on Steam because apparently publishers think Game has any sort of foothold in PC game sales. And why would I name one that isn't online? Retail is becoming obsolete. Places like Amazon are so much cheaper than both Steam, and retail. Only peasants buy games at retail, for retail prices. And haha, "that kind of game selection" can be found in Tesco.
Plus stores like game that re-sale pre-owned copies have a been a major contributing factor in the rise of day 1 dlc, because publishers make no money from resale of pre-owned games, so they include "ten-dollar" dlcs with every game, which are usually free with the first purchase, but not always.

Plus who would pay up to 25% more to buy it in a shop than to buy it from somewhere like Amazon? I would rather wait a day than go out and stand in a queue whilst being hastled by employees to buy the next call of duty or something.
Haha I know this is off topic but I tried to trade in like 26 somewhat-recent 360 games in like July 2011 and they offered me like £5. Those games included Halo: Reach, Fallout: New Vegas, etc.
I did the same a while back, I got more for the crappy Banjo and Kazooie game than I did for Halo: Reach.
Only peasants buy games at retail, for retail prices.
I wish I had the money those peasants do.
I wish I had the money those peasants do.
I forgot to put "console" before peasants.
I forgot to put "console" before peasants.
that is very funny
GAME sounds like the UK/European version of GameStop.
Gamestop really isn't that bad.
There's nothing wrong with this, it's better than putting them in plastic boxes with alarms and shit on them.
There is when they remove some of the box content, as they did with DX:HR, removing Onlive passes from the containers, as not only is it anticompetitive, but it screws over the buyer.
There is when they remove some of the box content, as they did with DX:HR, removing Onlive passes from the containers, as not only is it anticompetitive, but it screws over the buyer.
That was Gamestop in the US if I'm not mistaken.
Gamestop really isn't that bad.
I always assumed they were owned by the same company because they act so similar.
Gamestop really isn't that bad.
Buying a new game at 20$ that costs you 60$ to buy and selling it for 60 isn't bad?
I was working yesterday and we were selling Brand new DJ Hero 2 for a fiver. We sold out in like 2 hours. Everything is so fucking cheap right now.
GAME in Sweden is awesome, beats our Gamestop by far. Sad to see them fall, you will be missed.
My brother could be losing his job because of this you asshole.
Good, because working in a retail game store is fucking HELL, they're doing him a favour.
Buying a new game at 20$ that costs you 60$ to buy and selling it for 30 isn't bad?
Fixed At least, this is how it is at my local one
As much as I hate GAME its a shame for those who might lose their job.
Chirst how ignorant are you people. This is not good news for anyone, even if you're stupid enough to think it is. GAME going under is going to fuck up out countys fragile economy even more. And these people who can simply "get new jobs", where the fuck do these jobs exist because 2.7 MILLION people can't find them.
It's a shame money has become such a requirement for so many people.
Why? Name me one alternative with that kind of game selection that isn't online.
That's the point. Last thing industry needs is an obsolete branch slowing it down. EDIT: People losing jobs is a bad thing obviously but an obsolete branch of industry dying is a good thing.
GAME could have easily prevented this, were they not a bunch of greedy corporate fucks. Giving 50% of the sale for each pre-owned game would not ONLY have stopped the EA fiasco, but it would have stopped Online Passes.
That's the point. Last thing industry needs is an obsolete branch slowing it down. EDIT: People losing jobs is a bad thing obviously but an obsolete branch of industry dying is a good thing.
How the fuck are retail stores "slowing" the industry when they have no say in how quickly the game industry develops titles, and how fast a developer can come up with new games? Retail stores have a place, they always will. It's just GAME kind of fucked the whole thing up for themselves by forgetting that they have heavy competition from online stores for all platforms.
Don't they mean "BUY A KEY FROM US AND ACTIVATE IT ON A COMPETING SERVICE EVEN THOUGH WE HATE THEM!!" as Skyrim is a Steamworks game.
I was getting at the fact that no sane person would pay £37.99 for a PC game even on the day of release, never mind 5 months after
I was getting at the fact that no sane person would pay £37.99 for a PC game even on the day of release, never mind 5 months after
What I wanna know is why they stock Skyrim when it uses Steamworks, isn't that basically going back on what they did before?
It suck to be an employee I guess.
I hope they go bankrupt. They're a terrible store trying to be like the others but more expensive. At least the store near me anyway.
I hope they go bankrupt. They're a terrible store trying to be like the others but more expensive. At least the store near me anyway.
yet again, its bad because of the people working there losing jobs. Someone probably just going to buy them and then sell off their assets.
