that movie better rock
While on this speed I even managed to pull out my fingers in glove for an inch or two outside
What?
Jesus I can barely sit on the back of a golf cart without getting scared...
The ejection is nothing special, but the fact that they got all the way up to Mach 2 without a canopy says something for the pilot's skill. Just think of the wind resistance of having an open cockpit.
That's a good point, losing the canopy has to screw with the plane's handling. I'll be that was a wild fuckin ride.
What?
he pulled his fingers out of his glove and peeked them a few inches outside the cockpit
He's strapped to a fucking seat and has diverse safety clothing. That is completely plausible. Get your ass out of Lock On and stop pretending to know shit. This has already been done before and the pilot only got his face swollen and couldn't see for quite a while, but his face wasn't protected in any way AFAIK.
The G-suit only protects you from G-Lock by squeezing blood upward to your brain, not the pressure from high speed ejection. Ejecting and subsonic speed is nothing special, which this pilot probably did. But a supersonic ejection can really seriously hurt you. An American F-15 pilot ejected above super sonic and broke his arms and legs and spine if multiple areas. His legs were bent and pulled under the seat, and his arms were pulled behind the seat hitting each other as he flew out. Regardless of the arm, leg and body straps that position your body properly for ejection milliseconds before ignition. The fact is Ejection seats are not designed for supersonic ejection.
I don't believe they did it at mach 2... The Force of the wind at mach 2 would break every bone in your body AND rip every piece of clothing and gear you were wearing off Flying at mach 2 near the ground is probably not possible either, they had to be way up there
I agree, Ive seen a video of an F-15 pilot eject lower than mach 2 and it broke every bone in his body. As for the aerodynamic reasons I think it would be O.K since at that speed they pretty much turn into a directed rocket. Though at lower ones it would cause a shit ton of drag that would be harder to offset I just kind of think this might be some kind of propaganda or lies
You guys aren't taking altitude into account. Ejecting at Mach 2 at 5,000 feet is way more damaging than at 30,000 feet and higher.
That fire looks like a penis
You probably see a dick right there, because you're dreaming about them all the time.
You guys aren't taking altitude into account. Ejecting at Mach 2 at 5,000 feet is way more damaging than at 30,000 feet and higher.
This.
he pulled his fingers out of his glove and peeked them a few inches outside the cockpit
Close, he put his fingers outside the cock(lol)pit with the glove still on.
Pressure suits do not protect you from wind at mach 2, which *Will* Break every bone in your body when you're suddenly subjected to it, and rip everything from your body... But will leave your body itself intact, Just look at those Air France victims... and they weren't going Mach 2 They were probably wearing pressure suits, but not for any reason I stated
this man has a picture of a pilot. he must be an expert in this field
the adrenaline rush would have probably been more powerful than any man had ever felt.
Space travel, hello
The ejection burst looks like a mini version of the plane.
The ejection is nothing special, but the fact that they got all the way up to Mach 2 without a canopy says something for the pilot's skill. Just think of the wind resistance of having an open cockpit.
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with pilot skill. It's not like he can control how much air resistance he's getting. I'm sure it was a simple [gain altitude then dive while accelerating] if not just maintaining altitude and mashing the gas (pedal?).
(pedal?).
Throttle.
fucking sissy should have ejected backwards and on fire
One of you math guys can probably do some simple equations to find out how fast the plane was going at the time of ejection. Based on that picture, you can compare distances and tell how far up he is, and how far back from the initial position. Then, taking the speed at which the seat ejects up into account, you can probably determine how long it took for him to get up there, then see how far it took the plane to get the 10 feet or so forward it did. Do it.
Although it's kinda useless in my opinion, if they need to make it look like he ejected at mach 2, you don't necesarrily have to eject at mach 2. I'm sure you wouldn't even notice the difference between 400 mph and 1400 mph.
it was for a movie called Kerosene Cowboys
That looks like B-movie gold. Been awhile since anyone made a good fighter movie.
Looks cool, not some shitty cgi you would see on the sci-fi channel.
I'd do that.
1:03 is fake right?
1:03 is fake right?
Of course it's fake, it's a B movie. I'll bet the only real thing in the whole movie is this guy ejecting.
If you are impressed by that , just wait to see when he's riding the missile.
it was for a movie called Kerosene Cowboys
That was a terrible trailer.
Of course it's fake, it's a B movie. I'll bet the only real thing in the whole movie is this guy ejecting.
that didn't look like 3d Special Effects to me. That looked like a real jet.
i bet it's a michael bay movie
MIBLAHBLOSHIONS!!!
it was for a movie called Kerosene Cowboys
Looks like some stock footage of jets and airshows spliced with some shit acting. Some of the tricks look cool, but the only really interesting thing is this ejection.
