Haha, owned. Serves them right!
1 million? good lord.
... and nothing of value has been lost!
I wonder how much lost sales figures that amounts to...
Serves them right
I lol'd when I heard this on the radio. They deserve it.
There are false positives man
I find it funny that Microsoft are much ridiculous money whores but are banning over a million people using their pay to use online service. Not a well thought out financial move there.
Xbox's are only two hundred dollars... You think 200 bucks for kids who previously owned an Xbox is hard to come by On and Near christmas? Nope
besides, a Legit anti piracy tactic is a good one, Feel sorry for any false positives though
Boohoo I pirated and cheated and now I can't face the consequences :(((((
Seriously, you do something wrong, you get caught, you pay for it.
Oh wow , im never gonna do this :)
Ill rather pay for games than paying for ten xbox.. es

It's considered your (the buyers) property.
That was more of a rant about paying for the useful XBL.

Except the servers are not your property. They just prevent you from accessing them while doing nothing to your console what so ever. Serves idiots right for modding an xbox and paying for live if they did
People should also remember that its extremely easy to cheat on live with a modded console. They do everyone a favor by getting rid of them
If you pirate, at least don't play them online, ffs.
Haha Pirates.

Actually, nowadays, the console checks if any pirated games are played on it when offline and when it's connected to the net, it notifies Micro$oft.

I actually have no idea how Xbox Live works. I thought the servers that you start were hosted on your Xbox.

No, Microsoft have the servers. When you log in and you're on the dashboard you may be on one server. But say you want to switch to a friends game you switch to his server IIRC.

I bought 3 of them. 1 new which I bought on Launch Day and 2 were ebayed with RROD for 50$ each. The other 3 were given to me by people who had RROD and modded them so they couldn't get the warranty and never came back to pick them up.
I'm fairly glad it happened. Annoys me when you get the odd smug bastard that goes on about how he got every game for like £2 each.

It's actually more like £0.30
I don't see what banning them from live is really gonna do if they can still play pirated games.
What else can Microsoft do?
I'd laugh if there were false positives.
There will be. If I got false positived I'd be really pissed off - banned from Live and have the social stigma of cheapy pirating bastard.
What else can Microsoft do?
Force a DLC that gives them an RROD, thus forcing them to buy another console.
Wow.
If they're using it to be a bitch and cheat at games though, then good for Microsoft.
It's not cheating that offended, it's piracy
Common Sense, If your going to mod your xbox, dont go online. >_>
Just don't bother going on XBL, i'd rather not spend all that money just to play against my friends.
Just don't play games, live in society, and become a hermit.. and don't become a hermit pirate neither!
You reported your friend?
... asshole
he tried to get me to pay him $40 to mod my own, and another $10 per game. It was my response to that really.
