The KKK has been in and out of existence at three different times. The new groups that form are of course based in the ideals of the original KKK, but they don't really have any real affiliation with the old KKK's besides that they are calling themselves the same. As far as I'm aware, the current KKK is more local and divided, and doesn't commit violence, it more just preaches hate. The current KKK is not at all like the past KKK, and they are two different groups of people.
Try imagining it like this. A new Nazi group forms and starts meeting and gives hate speeches. Their beliefs are grounded in the original Nazi philosophy, but they aren't the original Nazis, neither are they at fault for the crimes the originals Nazis committed. They are still a bad group, but you can't say that they killed millions. I'm aware there are these new Nazi groups, but I'm just trying to get my point across.
Well at least my fear of them combining into optimus bigotus prime isn't going to happen. We're safe while they distract each other... for now.

The point I'm trying to make is that, even though I myself do not believe in religion, just because people who believe in it are idiots, does not mean that the concept itself should be destroyed. No, there are plenty of other ripe reasons why that should happen, but that's another argument for another time.

It's not even one KKK group anymore, these guys are just one of about 180 small splinter groups scattered about the country.
