50 years ago this would have been something you just do, and nobody would raise an eyebrow. Now you get praised as a hero for it. I'm not saying his act shouldn't be recognised, I'm saying it's scary how little we actually do to help each other in this society.
50 Years ago we had bathrooms separated by the color on a persons face. You thinking society is becoming a worse place is just your personal opinion. However to praise someone for going above their personal interests to help another is something praiseworthy.

50 years ago it was white Americans throwing the cinder blocks at the kid.

Yeah, maybe in states like Kentucky.
Thats a nice camera hes holding.
Sony A1E I think
So, the looters climbed on the roof and started throwing bricks into the nice crowd of people down below?
I think it's more likely that the owners were on the roof throwing rocks into the crowd of looters down below. Looters go in the store, not on the store.
So the guy saved a looter that was trying to rob a store. I think that is good enough without bending the story to make it sound like the kid was just hanging out.
were is fox news now? Anderson Cooper is a great man. This proves that there is more things going on in Haiti then people think there is. and it just had another earthquake. that place is a hell hole
Anderson cooper is so hot
going to be the only one to acutally laugh on this

A lot of reporters would rather film the boy dying to show the "horrors of this crisis" instead of helping him. Cooper put himself in the middle of the situation, where people were throwing cinder blocks down, not only risking his own safety, but the safety of his crew as well. He brought the boy past the barricade and made sure someone took care of him.
I call him badass because when no one else was paying attention to this boy, he decided to step up and help him while on the job.
If it had been another regular citizen who did this, then that citizen would probably be badass too.
I call him a badass because he always has the best reports and is on the scene. Just the simple fact that he decided to help makes him even more. Personally I think he is just an overall awesome person.

They took photos. They saved him for the show.
:fsmug:
They took photos. They saved him for the show.
They still saved him. Personally I don't care what motives drove him to do it, but he did it anyway.
God damn looters.
One person on CNN with a heart at least.
One person on CNN with a heart at least.
One what?
At least the boy is going to be fine. It looks bad, but he was still conscious, and head-wounds tend to bleed massive amounts.
Blood is so fucking shopped it's like they didn't even try.
And why didn't he take him to a medic?
most of them still are; clearly the one taking the picture was either an asshole or decided "nah he's helping him"
Well how many people does it take to carry a small boy? Cooper looks like he can Bench 250 fucking pounds
it looks like tempura paint
don't wanna say it's fake but from the pictures it looks questionable
And why didn't he take him to a medic?
AHAHAHAHAHHA
Medics
You think they're not all busy?
Seriously though, he's the only reason i watch CNN, he's such a fucking badass
Anderson Cooper probably staged this so he could be a hero.
the amount of blood really doesn't make sense with a concrete block, it would be pouring out of a large wound and not sprayed all over him.
not to mention that if i was bleeding that much and just got hit with a rock i would be completely out of it

well the kid was standing up, maybe he got knocked by the side of it.
that video looks like a 10 year old trying to act
like i don't want to jump on the faked bandwagon but jesus christ
