So at the end of this year it will be the end of 2009 and the start of 1984? Someone had to make the reference.
This is for your protection.
I'm leaveing the country as soon as i get the money to pick up and leave. Chavs, controling goverment, terrible weather, chavs, camaras watching you masturbate. UK the worlds first simulation of combine control.
Don't worry about it guys, oddly, when the conservatives get in, this'll probably be overturned, David Davies is really against this kind of thing.
Glad I got out of England. As a pure bred Brit, I must say its a shithole now.
Good riddance. One less Daily Mail reader to try and ignore.
But in the Independent it said it would be scrapped
Glad I got out of England. As a pure bred Brit, I must say its a shithole now.
Its because you left. I don't see whats wrong with the UK though
If I was a telecom company, I'd be like, yeah give us shitloads of money, monitoring costs brah.
who cares bro the lisbon treaty is gonna make a new european soon state anyway and then theres the stuff they put in our drinking water :tinfoil:
:canada: Proud to be Canadian. Though, as a commonwealth country we might have something similar soon.
Eh i hope not ;/
Fuck the UK
Well this is a massive kick in the balls for me and the other Facepunchers in the UK...
Fuck this. I'm moving to Canada.
UK is closing down. Go to Afghanistan and embrace Kalashnikov culture.
ISP's will not do this. They have better things to do with their time.
glad I live in Canada where nobody gives a fuck about anything except maple syrup
wish I lived in Canada where nobody gives a fuck about anything except maple syrup
ISP's will not do this. They have better things to do with their time.
You know they will just automate the process right? Probably already got the tools to do so. Just keyword logging, event logging etc, not that big a deal for them honestly. Ofcourse they will need a bigger data farm to store it all.
Don't worry about it guys, oddly, when the conservatives get in, this'll probably be overturned, David Davies is really against this kind of thing.
Just shows how little the names mean these days when the Conservatives are more left wind than Labour.
But the rules largely focus on communications over telephones and do not cover the whole range of internet communications now being used.
Cable anyone?
I find this pretty scary. Fines for wasting food, CCTV in sin bin homes for bad families, monitoring internet activity... It's getting ridiculous. Shouldn't we be doing something?
Ofcourse they will need a bigger data farm to store it all.
This costs them A LOT of money, ISP's don't want to be spending more money than they currently are. E.g. TalkTalk, Tiscali and even BT.
who needs rights anyway
I'm cautious, but thinking on it, not too worried: our government likes to say that it can do these massive plans, then later back down on them due to massive cost: a case in point would be the biometric ID system. In short, our government's incompetence is what's keeping their 1984-esque vision from being a reality.
This is pathetic. The UK population do not want this shit, so why the hell are elected members of parliament supporting it? (Not capitalising the dumbfuck, he got rid of the laws against blasphemy but thats all the good he did)
If the government monitored my internet usage, I'm almost positive I'd get arrested within hours. [editline]03:19PM[/editline] And I don't illegally download anything. :smug:
too bad people don't care enough to actually DO something about this
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." -Edmund Burke
Deep bro.
Jesus, England really has gone down the shitter in the past five years. It's only a matter of time before they shut all communication between the UK and the rest of the world and create an imaginary war to make things seem like they're better than they are.
