How is this related?
If it was autism it wouldn't show traits like this.
If it was autism it wouldn't show traits like this.
The Hunter VS Farmer theory just dicusses how it is most likely people with ADHD and ADD are suited for roles as soldiers/hunters etc, not exactly how autism and ADHD/ADD are seperate and completely not related to austism.
When a child has ADHD/ADD, there's a higher chance the child can develop something like autism too, its in the genes itself, not exactly a brain disorder. The thing is though, Autistic people do share similar characteristics with ADHD/ADD suffers. Common behaviors exhibited on both of the disorders are tantrums, bad judgment of danger, hyperactivity, and impaired gross skills. Because the behaviors are so similar, sometimes children with high functioning autism have a form of ADHD rather than autism. On the other hand, some children with high functioning autism may have both autism and ADHD. Often these children are taken off the spectrum when most of their autism specific behaviors are eliminated through behavioral therapy and other treatments.

Your link is the -only- source i've seen that states it's explicitly part of the autism spectrum.
Hell, autism isn't mentioned at all on the ADHD wiki page, and ADHD isn't mentioned on the autism page, if there was even a slight theory of this holding ground it would be on there.
And just because it might have the same cause doesn't mean it's the same thing

Well there are both sides to the debate on it, both have numerous sources. Just depends which you believe more.

I wouldn't really go to wikipedia for something credible, I know that's cliche but its just not something I would call a reliable source of information.

I'm saying they are related, not that they're the same. Part of a family tree.

Google turned up no other results in the first three pages.
Wikipedia is more reliable than anything else on the internet regardless of it being open to edit by anyone. + everything needs to be cited and have sources.
Besides collective minds = Better results, which again leads to if there was any form of backing to this it would be on there even if it is a single sentence.

But why is acceptable to walk around with a cigarette or most places it's okay to walk around with alcohol?
This is assuming America after the legalization of marijuana. Just a theoretical question.

There's very few places you can even have an open container of alcohol in America...
And cigarettes don't intoxicate you.
Too bad legalizing will only provoke more people to smoke joints in public to look cool.
I don't see how? :raise: It would probably become less 'cool'.

I wouldn't say Marijuana intoxicates you either, considering that typically connotes stupidity. Cigarettes, on the other hand, do intoxicate you pathologically by poisoning you.

Your troll-fu sucks.
I've been smoking weed (every day) for 2 years and a few weeks now. Anyone who calls me a retard is just jealous.
:smug:
No cancer, I still workout, I'm not a retard, I have a memory.
Hard drugs like that won't be legalized any time soon, because afaik none of them have other benefits aside from getting high that can't be found in another form that's less harmful.
Hard drugs do have up sides, but they are massively out weighed, used in controlled situations Heroin can be the most powerful painkiller in a hospital, its used for cancer victims in their dying days, and cocaine is used in nasal surgery and cauterisation.
:science:
But yeah those sure as fuck shouldn't be legalised, those will cause unimaginable damage to society, but then we have the issue of telling people what they can and cannot do to their own bodies, mine field all around us broheim.
You do not make sometihng illegal because it is bad for you. You make it legal for that reason. That way it can be treated, regulated and helped without ruining lives and starting a prohibition costing lives and millions and billions of dollars to defeat. No one has authority to tell you what can, and can't go in your body and drugs are no exception to that rule. Drugs are not an excuse of responsibility, and are not extremely dangerous if handled properly. They have no ability to drive you to hurt others, and you have no excuse if someone does hurt someone whilst high, albeit a rare event. More people would not do them if legal, and ones that did would be more educated, and safer than before. Something, I can't even fathom a reason to complain against.
Most drugs don't drive people crazy and to terrible ends like murder and such(exceptions would be PCP and such) and really don't make sense to be illegal.
Marijuana should be legalized or at least decriminalized because it does have positive health effects, unlike other drugs/narcotics that just do more harm or no positive aspects at all (ex: Meth, Crack, etc.).
**also, the people and lobbyists anti-marijuana are the pharmaceutical companies. so THINK about it
Actually, alcohol does drive people crazy, it's one of the few drugs to my knowledge that once addicted to, trying to rehabilitate can kill you through dementia.
And PCP legalisation would fuck shit up severely :v: but other stuff like LSD, DMT, Peyote, mescaline blah blah blah, no real reason to be illegal.
Most western countries just have retarded drug laws, (at least the US and the UK, seriously in the UK weed is apparently as dangerous as cocaine,

In america weed is classified as more dangerous than cocaine. It's in schedule I while coke is in II.
