Most people I know are mentally addicted to it. Know one guy who is depressed as fuck and grumpy all the time, then once he's smoked a bit of 'Buddha' he's happy and giggly all day. The only way he can stay happy is by smoking it constantly and as far as I am aware - that's addiction. Though, both sides of the argument are horribly biased and skewed and made up to most extent. I think its a mind rotter personally. Couldn't care if people smoke it though, its your life and you can fuck it up all you want with any chemical(s) you like. Just as long it doesn't effect your abilities in something important like your job or something that involves safety of fellow man.
I only do this because your attitude is terrible. It won't ruin anyones life unless they let it ruin their lives.
You smoke weed because of my attitude? I'm flattered.
You smoke weed because of my attitude? I'm flattered.
You clearly didn't understand, I meant your attitude about drug users is terrible, and that it won't ruin anyones lives unless they let it. No drug is going to ruin your life, only a person can ruin their life.
I only do this because your attitude is terrible. Face it, human beings can't be trusted with what is legally allowed to be ingested. The only good reason you would legalize all kinds of drugs is to weed out the idiots.

You know what ruins more lives than drugs do? 1,000 to 1? THE WAR ON DRUGS. That's a bigger problem than drug use has ever been, and ever will be.

So if you want to combat peoples rights to their bodies, you might as well just start killing them and making decisions for them because that's what's fucking things up, not drug use.
I'm just going to go a head and rip the word addiction out of the dictionary and throw it out of the window, because I guess humans are perfectly reasonable as a species to know when to stop something good.
Uh, no. I've been addicted, and I know what it's like. And I also know not to blame a substance when it was my decision to take it. That's how addiction works. You've never been addicted to anything, I've been addicted to heroin. I know what an addiction is, and I still don't blame drugs for it, because it isn't drugs fault. Personal responsibility.
I'm just going to go a head and rip the word addiction out of the dictionary and throw it out of the window, because I guess humans are perfectly reasonable as a species to know when to stop something good.
If you want to ban weed purely on it having the potential to be mentally addicting, then you should ban everything on the face of the earth including any and all activities, because EVERYTHING can be mentally addicting.
Because clearly I am saying we should keep cannabis banned.
You've never been addicted to anything, I've been addicted to heroin. I know what an addiction is, and I still don't blame drugs for it, because it isn't drugs fault. Personal responsibility.
Why are you assuming I have not been addicted to something.
Because clearly I am saying we should keep cannabis banned. Why are you assuming I have not been addicted to something.
Because you have no idea how addiction works. You're blaming a substance for addiction problems, that's not addiction, that's a blame game, Personal responsibility.
Because you have no idea how addiction works. You're blaming a substance for addiction problems, that's not addiction, that's a blame game, Personal responsibility.
Wat. So according to you a lot of drugs are not chemically addictive and its 'their own fault' for taking them and getting addicted to them because they didn't know when to stop. What about people with weak will power, who become instantly attached to a drug, like cocaine.
Wat. People with weak willpower shouldn't do drugs then, why do you need to legislate that so no one can do it? Chemical addiction is real, and present in most harder drugs, contrary to how you interpreted what I said, I mean only that even though a drug is addictive, that drug can not make you do it. You can, and the responsibility lies with you, not a drug.

It was their willpower that caused the mental addiction, not a chemical in the drug.
Cocaine isn't nearly as addictive as the media makes it out to be, and you answered your own question right their. Heroin and alcohol range in similar areas in terms of direct damage to the body at the same level of constant intoxication and such.

I'm not saying it isn't chemically addicting, but the media makes it seem like if you do one line you're gonna turn into a junkie.
I think you made a mistake, not only does that video contradict EVERYTHING you've argued for, but it's PRO pot.
OH MY GOD! I AM PRO POT FOR FUCKS SAKE! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! I AM ALL FOR POT AND IT'S BENEFITS FOR HUMAN KIND! But that's not what you lot want it for. You want it legal so you can smoke a blunt and fuck off to never land.

One line of cocaine won't do shit to you, addictive or damage wise. [editline]01:12PM[/editline]
OH MY GOD! I AM PRO POT FOR FUCKS SAKE! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! Why is this not a valid reason?
OH MY GOD! I AM PRO POT FOR FUCKS SAKE! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! I AM ALL FOR POT AND IT'S BENEFITS FOR HUMAN KIND! But that's not what you lot want it for.
People with weak willpower shouldn't do drugs then, why do you need to legislate that so no one can do it? Personal responsibility is a joke once you become dependent on something.
Cocaine isn't nearly as addictive as the media makes it out to be
Now why do you automatically assume I got that off the media.
Again, people can want it legal for both reasons.
I'm going to take pain killers. I don't need them but they fuck me up and shit feels good. I like to take advantage of this when there are people out there who truly need pain killers.

If not, I'm sure there's some way to figure it out. But my question and point stands. Why the fuck would you make it illegal based on the fact that there are few who are weak?
Generally most people know their will power. If not, I'm sure there's some way to figure it out. But my question and point stands. Why the fuck would you make it illegal based on the fact that there are few who are weak?
I agree with this.

I like to take advantage of this when there are people out there who truly need pain killers.
If there was a national painkiller shortage, you'd be right, seeing as there isn't, this is wrong. Now, you're trying to say the same thing will happen with pot which is laughably fucking absurd. Pot is the easiest thing to grow, and currently, we have more than we could ever need medicinally and for recreation, and it's grown by average people right now. Wait until both average people are growing, and the pharmaceuticals are growing. There would be no shortage, there would be an absurd amount of extra weed floating around. Wait, your argument doesn't hold water at all! Your point?
But my question and point stands. Why the fuck would you make it illegal based on the fact that there are few who are weak?
I don't recall saying it should be illegal based on the weak, I didn't actually say it should be banned.
I don't recall saying it should be illegal based on the weak, I didn't actually say it should be banned.
then my bad, but that appeared to be the argument. What is your point if it isn't that?
I'm saying that we shouldn't do weed for recreation. [editline]09:21PM[/editline] It shouldn't be used for recreation, just medicinal usage.
Why not? What's wrong with recreational use of it?
