then my bad, but that appeared to be the argument. What is your point if it isn't that?
I didn't really have one other than that I don't care what people do as long as it doesn't effect others negatively.
I didn't really have one other than that I don't care what people do as long as it doesn't effect others negatively.
I agree, if there was a drug that 99% of the time lead to a violent reaction or something, I wouldn't agree to it's legalization, however, no drug(PCP really doesn't do this, it just has a number of other problems) causes that shit.
Why not? What's wrong with recreational use of it?
We don't need it for recreational usage.
There's no reason it can't be used for recreation. If you want to be a moral puritan, that's your right to do so, not your right to enforce legislation of that effect on anyone else. Taking a drug recreationaly isn't wrong, and it won't cause some great big down fall of society either.
We don't need it for recreational usage.
You don't need that xbox 360 you have either. Or your computer. Or 90% of the things you've used today
We don't need it for recreational usage.
k. throw out your TV, your consoles, your computer unless you use it for work, in which case, take everything off of it not work required, and anything you own that is purely for entertainment, get rid of. Same thing, we don't need that for recreational usage. We just rather have it because there's no reason not to have it. It's a choice, and if you don't want to, that's your choice, and good on you for making it. I made my choice, and I embrace it.

As soon as pot were legalized a huge shitstorm would happen. I want pot to be legal too, it's great and all, but the shitstorm of stupidity it would cause isn't worth it, as it's widespread usage would begin to become abused.
We don't need it for recreational usage.
Throw out everything you own that is for entertianment. Consoles, computer(Just delete anything not work related), TV, a car if you drive for fun, or relaxation. Anything else you own, throw it out. You don't need it, do you? Recreationally we don't need much of anything, but why not when there is no reason not to. you can take your path of the moral puritan and not do it because you choose not to, but there is no reason and no right you have to enforce that upon anyone else. I made my choice, you made yours, and that's all that matters in the end. There is no reason to make people pay for doing something almost harmless for fun.
Why not? What's wrong with recreational use of it?
He probably thinks it's 'immoral' :v:

If you sit around all day watching tv, you get fat, if you sit around all day smoking weed, nobody will want to hang out with you because you'll be brainless all the time. Weed is not perfectly safe until we have properly examined it. We said the exact same thing about cigarettes and fucking cocaine.

No. Can you smoke weed in public after legalization rolls through? No. Can you purchase it at legal drinking age? yes, before? no. [editline]01:32PM[/editline] Legislation does not mean decriminalization or anything else.

Even with the smoker it wasn't an issue, secondhand smoke will do nothing but give the person a buzz at worst.

My point in posting in this thread is, you guys are using medicinal usage to backup your argument when that's not really why you want it legalized.
We don't need it for recreational usage.
We don't need anything for recreational use to be honest.

And nobody but you has said that we claim to want it to be legalized strictly for medicinal
ITT: Your argument gets shot down and you try to make us look uneducated
This isn't an argument, I'm on your side. I'm saying it needs to be regulated. [editline]09:45PM[/editline]
itt: yodafart assumes shit in every single post more at 11
You can have your pot. It's not a part of my life anymore. If it's the magical ambrosia that will save all humankind then hooray! If it turns out it's poisonous in some hard to believe way then whatever. I don't need it. I don't want it. Just don't be high and act like a tard in public.
This isn't an argument, I'm on your side.
That's like using painkillers for recreation.
There's no shortage of painkillers, I see no problem with that.
There's no shortage of painkillers, I see no problem with that.
Abusing painkillers isn't legal. There's prescriptions for a reason, genius.
ITT: Facepunch doesn't understand the difference between NEED and WANT.
recreational past times are a want, not a need, unless you form a mental addiction to that, for example playing foot ball, rugby, rowing or running could form a mental addiction because thanks to the action/sport/activity higher levels of dopamine and adrenaline are released and the body likes this, and forms a mild addiction to the perceived source of the goodness. Where as if you allow yourself to become addicted to a substance, it's a far stronger high so the body enjoys it a lot more, and wants it more and more and more, tadah addiction. Although if you have strong enough willpower you could probably control how often you do the drug and slow or stop addiction and keep tolerance low. Actually I've started rambling.

Do any of you know for sure that Weed is completely safe?
Abusing painkillers isn't legal. There's prescriptions for a reason, genius.
Weed isn't legal either, people find ways.
Do any of you know for sure that Weed is completely safe?
There's never been a medicinal case that was cause by weed alone, and so far all scientific studies point to harmless INCLUDING the smoke. I posted a link the the full Nixon report, you should read it, I'm on chapter 4 fuck yo' automerge
Do any of you know for sure that Weed is completely safe?
Worst argument ever, breathing is poisonous for the body, and weed seems pretty safe, admittedly I don't care either way enough to read news for either side, but from what I've read seems safe enough to be better than a lot of other shit.
Do any of you know for sure that Weed is completely safe?
morphine isn't exactly safe but it's used all the time as a painkiller.
