I await Valve to suspend accounts of people who do this. Or atleast use that whole "individualized pricing" idea on them. Hats made TF2 go down the shitter, and now these guys are going to make it worse.
this is the most innovative idea I've seen in months It won't work too well but...

This sounds like it could be annoying.
I've seen a few players advertise small apparel and novelty websites on their item descriptions.
Hats ruined TF2. Sue me.
Hats improved TF2. Make my day.

Many stuff are already advertised there anyway.
I stopped playing TF2 around the time when the Mannco Store was added. It's not because of the store, but just because after the few years I had been playing, I wanted to move on to something else rather than playing the same game even longer just to unlock some silly items. I've started playing Day of Defeat: Source again and that's really fun for me right now.
I play TF2 every so often when they release new weapons to craft, I trade away my hats for extra metal to craft my weapons so hopefully next time I play I can craft a weapon to kill all advertisers. I've always wanted to secretly kill advertisers.
i think its a cool idea TF2 reaches a huge range of both consumers and future workers, advertising within a medium that tons of people are paying increased attention to seems like a great idea
The people doing the advertising should be encouraged to wear really rare hats to draw attention. It's like putting bright and contrasting colours on advertisements, except they're hats.
I actually like this idea
I stopped playing TF2 because of shit like this.
Last time someone bought advertising of sort in a valve game (I think it was an sourcemod mod offering purchasable decals around maps in css), they weren't very pleased
This seems really annoying. I don't want my chat clogged up with some asshole trying to advertise for a company that I don't care about.
After a discussion this has become a ban-on-sight offense in all of the Multiplay servers. The tag or spray will be enough to get you banned from our servers. Just thought I'd fill you in that we are not tolerating this at all, It's a stupid idea.
