I just noticed this on my nexus 9.
the mobile and desktop versions of youtube finally have the exact same layout without having to fake your useragent
the play button morphes into the pause button now

what about just on youtube?I know you can just click the add to playlist button and select wath later, but that button was quite convenient
Doesn't appear to work in firefox, thanks Google.

Google Chrome here, still not delivered here...
EVERY time I every hit that watch later button, it was on accident
They probably realized that. I used the watch later feature for a while, until I realized it keeps getting littered with videos I'm not interested in.
Looks alright, although hopefully the "Watch Later" feature is hidden behind the cog that is the settings menu, though it's always there in the Add To menu so you could still do it even without having it on the player bar.
Hopefully the increase in bar transparency won't increase the RAM consumption too much for each video, since as anyone who's entered a video thread can attest, having a bunch of videos load in on the same page can kinda eat up your RAM and in some cases slow your browser to a crawl for a few moments. At least that's how it seems to be with Firefox, I dunno if Chrome and Opera avoid that hiccup better.
This is why I have an addon that blocks videos and has you click them to load them. It's wonderful when you also stumble upon a site that autoplays videos.
Can you still see the buttons on a background of the same color?
Yeah cos there's a subtle dark gradient behind them

Girl don't even get me started on the kinds of sites that autoplay the video adverts. Not only can it slow things down depending on how many of them there are, but it's a special kind of hell when you're up at 2am and something on the site yells "HI I'M BARRY SCOTT AND FUCK YOU BUY MY CLEANING SHIT" when you least fucking expect it.
But hey, at least it's not some berk in a call centre ringing you on your mobile at 10am for some unsolicited bullcock, especially with my kind of sleep schedule meaning I don't get up 'til past midday, and only get up on 11 when I'm doing the lunch shift.

Add-on name please
Looks great. Can't wait until it's officially implemented.
Even works well with Youtube Center.
I think Google finally managed to make a good UI for nearly everything with this whole "Material Design" thing. Maybe the days of us laughing at Google for not knowing how to make decent UIs are finally over?
Done that, still not working :/
Edit:
Got it working now, Looks so nice!
How did you get it working?
the play button morphes into the pause button now
[t]http://3kv.in/~techbot/ShareX/2015/04/12/playbutton.gif[/t]
I uploaded a video and it still has the old player.

I'll miss the "watch later" button.
I'll miss the "watch later" button.
Why? It's still there, just moved.
did the cookies thing and it's definitely set to english (us). still not changing however
If anyone wants to know, to get this working on a Mac you can use SafariCookieCutter to edit the value.
Looks amazing.
Looks pretty slick and neat, a welcome change in my opinion.
it doesnt seem to work if youre logged in.
Took me way too long to figure out how to change the language on Youtube. New player looks really nice though.
Still can't get it to work even with US English and Worldwide on Firefox.
Add-on name please
Opera Turbo does this by default.
Is this only for the Flash player rather than the HTML5 one?
I can't get it to work with neither my normal 37.0 Firefox nor with 40.0 Trunk Firefox with hacked codec permissions that plays the 1080p 60FPS videos on YT and such, I have English US turned on in both and I have the bent cookie, but no dice.
did the cookies thing and it's definitely set to english (us). still not changing however
I had the same problem, but after changing my google account language to english (US) it worked.
Opera Turbo does this by default.
Chrome and Firefox can also be configured to act like that.
It's just not as obvious.
This is so cool! Using it now
Now bring back the video quality button.
I mean seriously, why do captions which are rarely useful (if ever) have their own separate button but resolution options are in a sub-menu?
ive had this in the steam ingame browser for a while now and it just crashes the overlay
I wish they implemented youtuberepeat.com officially.

just rightclick twice on the videoframe where you can set it to loop.
Only seems to work for the flash player tho
