pretty much, also this stuff is(and has been) awfully widespread on brazil for many years, is this "twerking" new on the US? personally i find the entire thing incredibly stupid.
Come on, are you really surprised Brazil of all places had it before the US? :v:
twerking's been around at least since yin yang twins did "whistle while you twurk" in 2000. it's not a new term or a new thing. [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] twerking is actually older than some people who post here
No man it's a dumb youtube teenager a month fad I swear!
Well the rules are pretty stupid for PDA, and one year for some reason a couple went to the breezeways in my school and started going at it in the middle of a period. People are strange.
are you Amish? what kind of place puts restrictions like this?
It's honestly not all that uncommon in public high schools. Mine was the same way: the rules were worded as such that even two dude-bro kind of guys giving enthusiastic hugs to eachother (like their favorite team won a game or something) were technically breaking the rules.

I mean, I guess I can understand excessive (and I mean excessive) kissing (it's annoying to see a couple go to work while eating your lunch), but hugs and such is something you do when you goddamn greet someone.
are you Amish? what kind of place puts restrictions like this?
a school in a country that's simultaneously terrified of and obsessed with sex
i cant say if twerking is stupid or not, i want to watch the video, ive never seen a twerking video before. however it doesnt matter if its something cool or something stupid, i agree with steve harvey, they cant expect to break school rules and be all like "I dont understand" thats just sheer stupidity. i mean they can go do what they want in their own time, maybe even using the school camera BUT their own computers but it makes me want them to be punished when they say "i dont understand". i see that all the time in my school and it drives me crazy. when someone takes their phone iout in class and the teacher asks politely for him to put it away. the fucking rules say not to take it out why would you get mad at the teacher! i dont care if its a stupid rule, you are in a school you must abide by them OR accept the consequence. if you are gonna break rules, know the concequences before hand and accept them.
Is there a mirror to the video somewhere?
Does anyone have that gif of the fat black woman twerking on the hood of a Chrysler?
For once there's something on facepunch that other people haven't heard of but I have My mate used to love twerking, he had about a gig of twerking videos on his computer about 3 years ago. It's funny, some of the replies in here are funny too
I don't understand why some of you guys are getting so pissy because they were twerking. Who cares if it's a dumb fad, they were just having a laugh, probably not doing this seriously, and it's a pretty stupid reason for them all to get suspended. If you're saying "no sympathies" just because they were twerking then you're just as bad as these people who take these fads seriously. [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] And to be honest, in my opinion if you haven't done something dumb for the sake of humour during high school, you're probably missing out on some fun.
guys stop getting angry about this, twerking is fucking hilarious
Why is it always Walmart?
They should get back to twerk.
They should get back to twerk.
Twerking seems to be a popular practice everywhere
They should get back to twerk.
Anyways, twerking isn't a "hrrr autism cool new term" it's been around for a while.
I hate how the article keeps accenting "using school property" like they stole it or some bullshit. They were working on a project for media class, of course they were using school property.
Why is everyone in this thread overreacting so much at the fact they 'twerked' on school property? Oh the horror
Why is everyone in this thread overreacting so much at the fact they 'twerked' on school property? Oh the horror
Obviously shut-in social rejects would be happy to see them get severely punished for having fun. LED is giving out free tickets to the twerk team which is a huge bro thing to do.
Is there a mirror to the video somewhere?
It's been rehosted by World Star here
Come on twerking is fucking hilarious
I wish my ass could do that
Come on, are you really surprised Brazil of all places had it before the US? :v:
not one bit :v:
lol happens on every highschool, just it dosent usually get filmed...

can't believe people in this thread are supporting the punishment they got really they shoulda been suspended, sure, but taking away their graduation rights and ability to go to prom? seriously?
at my school couples were really only allowed to hold hands while walking somewhere. you couldn't hug-walk with someone in the halls or anything like that because it was a "public display of affection". a few years ago there was a big shitstorm when the superintendent caught a lesbian couple giving each other a kiss, but the principal stuck up for them. technically all physical contact was banned in the handbook, even high fives, but we were given some leeway.
my school has the same kind of rules except literally nobody enforces it. as long as you aren't making out in the classroom, nobody gives a shit, not even the principal or superintendant
I think a 1-2 day suspension, in school or out, would have been enough. I am not a fan of twerking but they are just kids, most people do stupid shit high school. There is no reason to take away their prom and graduation ceremony.
