Another dashcam
Hah, you can see almost the same view in that video as in the closest one Dashcams are amazing
Oh my god, one of the teachers from our school was in that flight. One of my juniors just told me that, Hopefully she's saved with only some facial wounds, but that sure will fuck her holiday up, today is day one of the winter vacation.
Yeah it's a plane and it crashed, we get it. (User was banned for this post ("Why Reply/Shit post" - BANNED USER))
Asshole
All things considered, it was one of the better crashes in recent years.
Looks like whilst aiming for the river and avoiding the high rises by raising the nose more the plane just have stalled and suddenly dropped toward the highway
Looks like whilst aiming for the river and avoiding the high rises by raising the nose more the plane just have stalled and suddenly dropped toward the highway
really glad he missed the buildings, this could have ended so much worse and there's so much to say about the taxi's luck, jesus
Casualties are up to 26 with 17 people missing, according to several sources. Only 15 confirmed survivors.
I thought we had enough plane crashes in 2014 for years ahead. Guess not.
Found it. http://instagram.com/p/yqnvQ6OrkH/
That's unreal. It's incredible they're finding anyone alive.
Yeah it's a plane and it crashed, we get it. (User was banned for this post ("Why Reply/Shit post" - BANNED USER))
Yeah you're an "edgy" asshole, we get it.
It's almost impossible to tell how fast props are going, and it is in video like this. Remember, if the RPM and framerate is synced up they can look perfectly still. The plane obviously stalled, one engine failure on take off wouldn't cause it, but having buildings in the way preventing you from decreasing your pitch to avoid a stall will. Usually you throttle up, lift off, then you maintain the speed you want in the climb with your pitch rather than throttle. If you can't nose down because of obstacles right after take off, and lose an engine, that can be gg. But it would have to be the absolute worst timing possible. If it happened before V1, they could abort and it's no problem, if it happened after they cleared the height of buildings around them it would be no problem
Since its a prop plane, the question if the plane can safely fly on single engine can depend on if it lost it's only critical engine or not.
http://news.sky.com/story/1420879/dashcam-video-shows-fatal-plane-bridge-crash Has the video also. Without all the news banners and such over it. It's unreal though. I can't imagine watching that occur right infront of me.
At first I honestly thought the pilot banked that extreme on purpose to avoid the buildings or something. But holy shit imagine being one of the passengers and feel the plane to that before crashing.

Can't say much for internal damage though, given the drop distance from that bridge to its landing spot in the water, that must have been one hell of a slam, on the plane's side no less. I guess the cencorship is a regulation of the news network that was posted on, or done for sensationalism

I also don't think that's the teacher Mr.Brown was talking about just another picture he found of the survivors
Holy shit, that video is unreal. It looks like some kid just dragging a cutout of a plane across a picture of a highway in MS paint, or something from a ytp.
Why am I getting deja vu. Has something like this happened before?
Why am I getting deja vu. Has something like this happened before?
Flight 1549 nearly hit a bridge before ditching in the Hudson River. I also recall a plane crashing into an overpass or bridge, captured on dash cam - I thought it was Russian, but I'm not able to find the exact flight.

Now that would be terrifying
Thank god for the dash board cam just try and explain it to the insurance company 'Describe the incident that caused damage to your vehicle : A plane crashed into it'
Per my former Air Force pilot instructor: two possible things he thinks. 1. Stalled. 2. Loss of left engine on takeoff
Per my former Air Force pilot instructor: two possible things he thinks. 1. Stalled. 2. Loss of left engine on takeoff
The pilot seemed to desperately pull over the buildings, and then eventually stalling. The angle of attack is very high in my opinion, although it could be due to the fishlenses in the dashcams.

That nose was really high for as slow as they were going. If the left engine failed on T/O than it would explain the roll (and yaw?) that we saw.
That and judging from the stills from the close dashcam footage, the port engine prop wasn't spinning as fast or wasn't spinning at all compared to the starboard prop so engine failure sounds like the most likely cause.
it's really interesting to see everyone's dashcam perspectives on this crash the guy that got the best view and didn't get harmed had a dashcam and was recording the crash, as well as the dude behind him who was also recording the crash, which in extension could see the guy in front who was recording the crash

She got a surgery this morning. Also here's an animation of the situation made by some local news network http://www.appledaily.com.tw/animation/appledaily/5/20150205/36371465/ Damn I really feel bad about the pilot, he seems like such a nice guy, he saved lives by going to the river. And he already noticed something that was wrong about the plane's engine on his last flight but they didn't care and wanted the plane to fly on time so they wouldn't get penalty for not making it on time Died at age 41 leaving a 9 year old son and wife.
