So you're totally okay with someone who wants to sell in-engine cutscenes for 30 dollars (three times more than any actual movie)?
well i'm not going to buy them but if people buy them it's obviously good for them why not that's like asking "so you're totally okay with someone who wants to sell Polish Folk Pop".
Someone who doesn't believe that people should have fun when developing games?
i'm pretty sure that was a joke, and if it wasn't i just wouldn't work there nobody forces you to work either
Someone who will sign with a developer to make a game, drop it, then sue them for the rights after they try to find someone else to publish it?
Well i guess but this doesn't really tie into the whole customer thing
Someone who actively does not give a shit about his customers?
why would he, he doesn't have anything to do with customers, he's a CEO, he represents stock holders, that's his job you do not grasp a single thing i've said have you, it doesn't matter if i like it or not, i'll either pay or not pay and it's pathetic to want to prevent people from buying whatever they want it's a free market, that means people can buy what they want, activision wouldn't make it if people didn't want to buy it, why is this a difficult concept for forum-goers that take every single chance to compliment their own intelligence
Who cares if he insulets people? He has a right to his oppinion.
:smug: I have very good opinion too.
i'm pretty sure that was a joke, and if it wasn't i just wouldn't work there nobody forces you to work either
What if your a slave?
what if your a slave?
:350:
He insulted them, or insulated them?
He insulted them, or insulated them?
every good indie developer needs insulation except for bungie
He insulted them, or insulated them?
Read the article, it's insult.
As CEO part of his job is to please the shareholders by increasing the price of shares. Of course he is going to say "everyone else is shit". Anyway who really cares what he says. If you don't like him then don't buy Activisions shitty map pack or in game cutscenes. Also we all know Valve shits all over Activision.
Read the article, it's insult.
Remember back in school when that dumbass kid would ask "How do I spell.." and the teacher would respond "It's in the title." Yeah..

Me, who sold it and got the money, or the person who bought it?
If I was selling a rock on ebay for $17,000 and someone bought it, who would be the idiot? Me, who sold it and got the money, or the person who bought it?
Was it a rock that Justin beiber touched? Or was it a rare rock? That situation is completely different.
Was it a rock that Justin beiber touched? Or was it a rare rock? That situation is completely different.
It's a rock I picked up from the beach that has some industrial chemicals covering it, causing your hands to blister after touching it. The point is, it's always the consumer's fault.
It's no surprise he didn't insult Bungie, they just signed a 10 year contract with Activi$hit.
Its funny on how he calls out on Valve even though there probably responsible for most of there PC sales. Silly Kotic
someone should drop a 2 ton crate of money on his head
Since when has Bungie been indie? Maybe before Halo, but certainly not now...
It's no surprise he didn't insult Bungie, they just signed a 10 year contract with Activi$hit.
Why, now they're gonna be in a crap hole spot. At least Micro$oft gave them a work environment and plenty of freedom. Who knows what activi$ion will do to them. Halo 4? Lowest rated FPS? Destruction of childhood?

They signed a publishing deal with Activision, they are still independent.
I bet he's gonna ask Bungie 1 mill for that comment.
if you seriously think that you either need to grow up or undergo counseling.
"I don't agree with you so you need to get therapy."

bobby kotick is an insane motherfucker
Activision boss Bobby Kotick has dismissed the likes of Valve, Epic, Ninja Theory, Level-5, Insomniac, Foundation 9, Gearbox, Sucker Punch, Rebellion and Terminal Reality - by calling Bungie the "last remaining high quality independent developer" in the world. Yep. Wow.
All of them are better than Activision and it's milk cows, what the hell
Calling someone like valve or epic indie just doesn't sit well in my head. Technically yes, they are independent, but they are so big they depend on themselves. Also isn't bungie kinda dependent on microsoft or something?
He seriously needs to get laid more, such an idiot. The way he talks about this "business" is like he is not even in it for the fun and the tradition of whatever they do, it seems that he's just into money, :10bux:
I am pretty sure with the money he makes, he is getting laid many, many, many times more than you. [editline]05:58PM[/editline] Oh wait, when you multiply something with 0 you still end up with 0.
He seriously needs to get laid more, such an idiot. The way he talks about this "business" is like he is not even in it for the fun and the tradition of whatever they do, it seems that he's just into money, :10bux:
The thing is that when you do your job, the first reason usually is money, fun and everything else is later. And since he's CEO he tries to get as much money as he can. I don't see anything wrong with what he does. Sure it hurts customers, but in the end he still profits a fuckton and that's what matters in business. Why get less if you can get more? If I was CEO I wouldn't do it the way he does, but I see nothing wrong with his strategy because it works damn well. And since when getting laid makes you less greedy?
Bungie isn't even an Indie Dev..
God damn, his entire persona reeks of douche
Bobby Kotick is :downs:
I wouldn't be surprised if Activision tries to team with Valve when EP2 or L4D3 comes out.
EP2? What the fuck? That's 3 years ago dude, you're late
