Why do you keep spelling it Apply, is there a joke i'm missing there?

Read the title but in a non dyslexic way
Unlike most other cases, in this one they just blindly walked into a brick wall
and as expected, it's funny
If Apple wasn't so damn arrogant, this kind of thing wouldn't happen.
I bet they knew about this company, and just assumed they could steamroll over them in court.
Apple gets away with a lot of illegal stuff because smaller companies can't afford teams of lawyers to fight them.
sounds like a regular name with a i before it before apple even started to think about doing the cloud shit proper
How is that a regular name? It's fucking stupid to name your company like that.

They'll end up paying them to use the trademark, like any company normally would and they have in the past.
They could have taken action against it soon enough. Apple has acquired the iCloud trademark long ago.
But heres a nice recipe: Register i+anything you expect Apple to create sooner or later, and then sue them when they do.
This emulating of "i"+productname has just the goal to take a piece of the cake. This is just an attempt to grab some money.
apple seriously didnt check if icloud was trademarked or something
Yes they have, they bought the domain from the iCloud company, and assisted them to be reestablished as cloudme.

What are people even talking about? These threads are always full of assumptions from people who don't actively follow anything on the matter.
I had a hunch it is.

No, they didn't.
They bought the domain name and tried to register the trademark, but did not deal with the company that is suing them.

Karma's a bitch, Apple sued Amazon over the 'App Store' name, and now Apple is being sued over the 'iCloud' name.
