So we can create our own Hammer?
Sure, but you'll be basing it on a bunch of messy shit code.

I think a rewrite/reimplementation of the engine would be a better idea. Lots of fat to trim. OpenSource, anyone?
I'd rather continue the standalone editor I started on ages ago. I'm holding back because I keep hoping Valve will release a new SDK soon. :(
Also, is this another Facepunch exclusive?
Nope
OpenSource, anyone?
Somebody at Valve just lost their job.
Somebody at Valve just lost their job.
Not really. This source code comes from a licensee. Most likely one of the mod teams that got access to the engine when they got SteamWorks access.
So the source code for SourceEngine was included in a folder with the source of CryEngine3?
If so then I think the Cryengine3 leak is more important/exciting than the source leak
There's plenty of Unreal Engine 3, and previous versions floating around out there, but nobody seems to really care about those.
Anybody have the files because if you do post it on mediafire
I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of people like this soon:

faceposer and hlmv too
faceposer and hlmv too
HLMV code was included with the normal SDK at one point, I think Faceposer might have been too.
Kosire, feel free to explain why you are right and we're dumb.
HLMV code was included with the normal SDK at one point, I think Faceposer might have been too.
No it wasn't. The 2007 Faceposer. The technology behind the phoneme editor and such is a lot different from the 2007 builds, so it wouldn't be interesting at all.
HLMV was though.
Kosire, feel free to explain why you are right and we're dumb.
Having access to the source code would be one of them, I guess.
Then as far perfect as it can get.
already reached that stage
Off to make Mr. Agree's Mod and develop a forum called "Headpunch".

Holy shit it's real!
It's only 11 MB big? What?
So what does this mean? The 2007 codebase is really old.
It's full of useful shit for many people. You have no idea.
It's only 11 MB big? What?
Text can be compressed alot.
But its not full anyways, lots of missing stuff like hammer.
If you ask me I only interested on game code :P

This filename was already discovered with the EP2 Particle Benchmark that was released, so nothing new there.

Finally someone with some balls.
Wait a second... This isn't npc_blob. This is npc_surface!
Is npc_blob = npc_surface?
Oh, nice...
