"Fuck Lulzsec?" Don't you mean "fuck RIAA?"
Fuck both of those cocksucking brainless faggots.
Fuck both?
That's stupid. RIAA could blame anybody. Hating LulzSec is just the cool thing to do.
Time to move to New Zealand. Or Sweden. Whichever.
New Zealand has the worst Internet in the WORLD I should know, I suffer it
Fuck. We're really fucked.
It still won't pass. Seriously, it will not.
Well, that sure puts my mind at ease :unsmith:
Wouldn't the Supreme Court just rule this shit unconstitutional? ... Or is our government really that fucked up? :smithicide:
New Zealand has the worst Internet in the WORLD I should know, I suffer it
I doubt it's much worse than Australias at the moment. OT world's fucked.
I doubt it's much worse than Australias at the moment.
Pffft, you guys should come over to Argentina, then you'll see the true meaning of "shit internet" [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] 3rd world country = Shitty internet speeds, guaranteed (but NO CAPS! :v:)
Wouldn't the Supreme Court just rule this shit unconstitutional? ... Or is our government really that fucked up? :smithicide:
It's not like they have for 90% of the other unconstitutional things they've been doing
....I fucking knew, knew it from the start. Thanks Lulzsec.
Oh no! How can this be? Lulzsec's plan was extremely well thought-out!
so why not do something about it? everybody always bitches about the RIAA but nobody ever does anything. actions speak so much louder than words, and a simple petition may be all we need to keep this from passing. remember, politicians do things to get reelected, if nobody wants this passed then they're not gonna pass it
Petitions do absolutely nothing. You need to call your representative.
Petitions do absolutely nothing. You need to call your representative.
Petition and call your representative.
Uhhh, I don't see why everyone is picking on LulzSec just because RIAA has found an excuse to promote their agenda. They have always wanted to do this to protect their interests, and it's not a reaction caused by the recent hacking events.

What people need to realize is the best course with things like this is civilized action. In other words, threaten your rep that he won't get your vote next election. That usually works. Besides, Lulzsec are a bunch of asshole script kiddies anyway so they're easy to get mad at. I think it's true that people should be more against the RIAA than Lulzsec in this case because Lulzsec is just being used as a scapegoat while the RIAA is the real problem, but people only read the titles of these threads anyway instead of actually understanding fully what the situation is.
Protect IP will get nowhere just like COICA.
internet regulations tend to fail whenever they only serve to protect faceless corporations
Classify internet as a form of expression and/or art. USA can't censor art and can't ban free speech.
Isn't there some way we can have music not regulated by a giant conglomerate of corporations since it's a representation of culture?
Isn't there some way we can have music not regulated by a giant conglomerate of corporations since it's a representation of culture?
With the number of pirates floating around just downloading albums carefree, they aren't doing a good job of regulating it.
My granddad commented on how "They need to do something about all these computer hackers." And that's when I knew the internet's lawless days were numbered.
who didn't see this coming
The thing I'm worried with all this hacking is that it will be used as an example to push through laws that destroys net neutrality and thus destroying the internet as we currently know it, for the "lulz".
As predicted.
Internet will soon not exist in the USA, specially if Palin gets in charge.
Just look at Australia and China for an example of where we don't want to end up.
:smith:
Why is everyone mad at Lulzsec over this If the government cited speeding as the reason to electronically limit the max speed of all cars to conform to the road's speed limit would you be blaming speeders or would you be blaming the government for making a really stupid and invasive decision based on the actions of the scapegoat of the day Think before you post god damn

Glad I have VPN. I won't be blocked. Yay!
Music piracy & Hackers - Non sequitur argument, much?
Lulzsec were still a bunch of scummy teens with god complexes.
That's not even remotely relevant
