Same, here to refute your refutation. Ever try driving around Pittsburgh with a flake on the ground? People go crazy.
That's because Pittsburgh's roads are a big clusterfuck. Ever try driving to the Zoo?

I don't go there anymore...
I've been hearing people say we're out of salt because the barges can't deliver any cause the fucking rivers are full of ice.
I was just on the PA turnpike today around the area where the accident occurred. I didn't see any sign of anything that could have happened.
Winnipeg won't mind taking all that snow off your guys' hands.
You need to have AWD in our area. Philly gets hit with a lot of rain and snow. Anyone with FWD is usually screwed. All of our cars have AWD, since my dads a doctor and he might need to get to the hospital for emergencies.
And also, I don't know what you guys are talking about, its about a 50/50 split between good drivers and bad drivers around here. NJ is the worst by far. It's usually the high school girls who can't pay attention worth shit and occasionally the guys who go "lol speed limits" into a fucking tree.
For 2 years I drove everyday into the city to go to school, the closer you get to the city the worse the drivers get.
Merion, in my experience, is the worst in the Philly area.
Wrong. Drivetrain does not matter much and people who think you need AWD to travel safely in snow don't know how to drive.
I get around just fine in my RWD, mid-engine SW20, it's mostly about your tyres and technique. Most of the "technique" is basic, basic stuff too.

Fuck, didn't notice how old the thread was. Apologies for the huge bump.

Drivetrain matters quite a bit. Its a pretty common misconception to think that AWD only helps on take off, when in reality, anyone who drives an AWD car and is an experienced driver knows that AWD helps the entire time you drive.
Tires help to some degree, though with AWD and experience, even cheap all seasons do pretty good

I've owned a '99 Impreza WRX until 2010. I drove that thing through snow, sand, gravel, whatever you might think of. I took it to the track often, like I do with my current car. Sure, 4WD and RWD are different experiences, and god damn I loved my Impreza, but I cannot think of a single situation where I did something with my Impreza I couldn't have done with my MR2. Driving in snow conditions with a RWD car is not hard, and in the end I much prefer RWD because of the handling.
