• Cancer Charities Rip Off Donors - All Run by Members of Same Family

Non for profit my ass. This is why I never donate for charities because that's their primary source of money. It literally takes common sense to see that they get millions of hard earned money by manipulated public and still show the same footage and same repetitive techniques.
I already knew about this from previous stories. I believe the CBC actually did an in depth documentary on this. I've never donated to a charity because of my lack of trust for organizations. So many people wishing to exploit the goodwill of others. I thought it was kind of common sense that most Cancer charity money didn't go to actually helping people with Cancer. Most of the money pays salaries, makes buildings and is used to raise awareness.
An additional $4.8 million has gone to pay the charity's founder and his own consulting firms.
Scumbag shit. This case in particular seems exceptionally awful.

The reporter says cash funny.. Cesh
you call that "new"? how high are you
Think you're responding to the wrong person, might wanna scroll above my response.
Question do US charities pay taxes
Nope. There's a "not for profit" tax break on the books and charities universally exploit it. As long as you can claim your organization is 'not for profit' you can get away with paying absolutely fuck all in taxes. I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority on the Fortune 500 list have seriously looked into trying to acquire "not for profit" status...

I hope that the media harrasses the SHIT out of these people.
What? Charities putting parts of the donation in their own wallet?? Well I would have never expected that!! *rolles eyes* As said in this thread before, cut out the middle man. Want to really help cancer patiens? Go study medicine and come up with a new cure for cancer. If not be smart and advoid charities like cancer.

It's not only doctors with incredibly expensive degree's that can help. They can probably help the most though.
And this is why I will never donate money to charities. Unless you count the Humble Bundles.
As someone who's family has been affected by cancer, I am absolutely disgusted with these people.
america has no justice
For now that is...
My father died of brain cancer. It was and will most likely remain the most painful and mentally scarring thing I've ever seen in my life, but I still wish someone would infect these pathetic excuses for "people" with an exceptionally powerful and damaging form of cancer.
