But - it's identical. Actually, was I expecting differently?
(because the iphone is full of bloatware is not an acceptable answer even if it's partially true)
It was leaked early by a japanese retail site, it's the iPhone 4S, 1GB ram and 8 megapixel camera, no other info on it though. Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/04/iphone-4s-revealed-by-apple-japan-retail-site-arriving-oct-14/
Also the Apple A5
For what reasons would you need 1GB of ram with a 1.2 ghz processor?
For a better consumer interface experience of course!

This actually fucks me off that kids these days won't buy this for the new feature(s), they'll just get it because "They have the new iPhone 5"
For what reasons would you need 1GB of ram with a 1.2 ghz processor?
specific's aren't reliable right now anyway.
I have an iPhone 4, and I've never understood this obsession with getting the newest phone... I mean, even when the white one came out! When this one breaks, I'll probably just buy whichever gen is one older than the newest one at a steep discount. Someone explain the iPhone obsession to me? Who can afford this?
This actually fucks me off that kids these days won't buy this for the new feature(s), they'll just get it because "They have the new iPhone 5"
That's what happened when this kind of stuff became popular. It's what happens with anything when it because popular.

It's starting, he's onto the iPhone now.
This actually fucks me off that kids these days won't buy this for the new feature(s), they'll just get it because "They have the new iPhone 5"
Ask a person who owns iDevice how much GB does his/her own have. They will look from the back of it without remembering.
For what reasons would you need 1GB of ram with a 1.2 ghz processor?
Samsung Galaxy S II. My guess is that it's pretty much a rebranded "Exynos" processor.
Ask a person who owns iPhone how much GB does his/her own have. They will look from the back of it without remembering.
I laughed, and then felt bad because it'll probably work most of the time.
Ask a person who owns iPhone how much GB does his/her own have. They will look from the back of it without remembering.
Yeah, those are the iPods, not the iPhones.
Tim Cook: 10:15AM - iPhone: “What’s amazing is that the iPhone 4 has sold over half of our total iPhones sold in the entire time we’ve been selling iPhones. It’s the number one smartphone in the world. I say cut the shit.
Samsung Galaxy S II. My guess is that it's pretty much a rebranded "Exynos" processor.
They didn't go with Sammy this time for the A5 in the iPhone.
(Observation: his voice isn't as mellifluous as Jobs's; Cook's is more of a croak, with a Texan twang. Jobs's would range up and down the scale, but Cook's is more direct. It's less relaxing to listen to.)
Top-rate journalism. Truly informative and to-the-point.
Tim Cook: 10:15AM - iPhone: “What’s amazing is that the iPhone 4 has sold over half of our total iPhones sold in the entire time we’ve been selling iPhones. It’s the number one smartphone in the world. I say cut the shit.
Except it's true.
10:26AM - “We’ll affix Apple designed postage to the card.” Of course you will! $2.99 in the US, $4.99 anywhere else. Oct 12th. 10:25AM - “We’ll print it on high quality 100% cotton paper.” Nice! They’ll print it and mail it — push notification on mail delivery through USPS. “Very cool.” Applause. Hmm, paper. Okaaay.
What
It doesn't feel like an informative release of some new technology, showing new features or why it'll be better for x reasons. It just feels like an ad. One big ad.
It doesn't feel like an informative release of some new technology, showing new features or why it'll be better for x reasons. It just feels like an ad. One big ad.
Never watched an Apple Keynote, eh? They're all like this. Over-sensationlized and flashy. I've never watched one (including this one) and I know this.
Never watched an Apple Keynote, eh? They're all like this. Over-sensationlized and flashy.
And Apple wants to appeal to the more dedicated market how?
It doesn't feel like an informative release of some new technology, showing new features or why it'll be better for x reasons. It just feels like an ad. One big ad.
That's because x=0 for that equation. It's not going to bring anything new, and is a whole sense of déja vu, been there and done that. What's sad is that everyone will eat it up.
And Apple wants to appeal to the more dedicated market how?
Except their keynotes aren't for consumers.
any live stream from the event that isn't text or 12 year olds talking about the new iphone
And Apple wants to appeal to the more dedicated market how?
Dude, Apple users eat this shit up. They want to be "entertained," not bored with technical speech and in-depth demos. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it obviously works.
Except their keynotes aren't for consumers.
Just stock holders? I think it's safe to say that at least Apple's following probably pays more attention to this sort of thing.
any live stream from the event that isn't text or 12 year olds talking about the new iphone
http://live.twit.tv/ [editline]a[/editline] Not exactly a live stream from the event though.
