Dude, Apple users eat this shit up. They want to be "entertained," not bored with technical speech and in-depth demos. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it obviously works.
And it's incredibly saddening seeing the industry like this.
http://live.twit.tv/ [editline]a[/editline] Not exactly a live stream from the event though.
down.
Recap of iOS 5 - notably iMessage, which we might call a BlackBerry Messenger killer
That's getting pretty annoying. Everything Apple makes is labeled as a "compeditor-brand-here killer".
iOS 5 comes October 12th Cool, my brother's birthday
down.
http://www.ustream.tv/leolaporte Should work.
That's getting pretty annoying. Everything Apple makes is labeled as a "compeditor-brand-here killer".
BBM is going nowhere, especially now it's coming to Android and maybe WP7 in the future.
That's getting pretty annoying. Everything Apple makes is labeled as a "compeditor-brand-here killer".
Wait, the representatives of the company actually call their product that? That's so shitty.
The iPhone 5 will just be the iPhone 4 with features that should have already been in the iPhone 4.
Some guy was on CNN, and was asked what's new with the iPhone 5 He couldn't name anything. Other than an improved camera and voice detection, and maybe being slightly wider, it isn't any different, and it's $200 with a 2 year contract, so if you got the 2 year contract with the iPhone 4, you will probably skip this and get the iPhone 6!
They didn't go with Sammy this time for the A5 in the iPhone.
Are you sure? Not for manufacturing, maybe, but I'm pretty sure it's from Samsung.
That's another thing I've noticed. Apple's products and advertising appeals to a 1v1 mentality, microsoft vs apple, blackberry vs apple, Android vs iOS. They constantly change it, but they never mention more than 1 compeditor. It feels like a "We're the good guys going against the Bad guys!" appeal upon naive notions of good vs evil.
iPhones? Nothing exciting about them, it's the same shit every time.
Are you sure? Not for manufacturing, maybe, but I'm pretty sure it's from Samsung.
Yeah, positive, I just can't recall the name of the new manufacturer though!

Or upgrading from the 3Gs. I have an iPhone 4 and have absolutely no interest in purchasing this.
Oooh, new app: "Find my Friends". Shows you where your family is. On a map. "I can even see if my son made it to school today."
That'd be useful in certain circumstances, and a serious breach of privacy in almost every other circumstance.
Yeah, positive, I just can't recall the name of the new manufacturer though!
I'm talking about the design of the processor it self. The iPad 2s A5 was produced by Samsung, at least.
Calling it now: the iPhone 5 update will allow you to customize the colors in Messages. And that's it.
I miss Steve Jobs face on the introduction image [editline]4th October 2011[/editline]
iPhones? Nothing exciting about them, it's the same shit every time.
Now 0.051 thinner!
That'd be useful in certain circumstances, and a serious breach of privacy in almost every other circumstance.
What's that? You could call people to ask them where they are? Nah man, that's like, so phones 1.0
What's that? You could call people to ask them where they are? Nah man, that's like, so phones 1.0
Calls? Pssh, what are calls?
10:51AM - “Not only is it the most popular music player in the world, but we’re excited to announce it’s now also the most popular portable game player in the world.” Imo he should have said that it is the most popular portable mini game player in the world. There are not many "full" games on iDevices.
10:54AM - “As you’ve heard, it’s the number one smartphone in the world. People have been wondering, how do you follow up a hit product like the iPhone 4?” The iPhone 4S.
1:54PM "Despite competitors trying really hard to copy the iPhone 4, they haven't really been able to come close."
Gee, pray tell Apple, is that because whoever has come close you've sued into oblivion?
10:55AM - “Dual-core CPU, 2x as fast at CPU tasks. Also dual-core graphics. Up to 7x faster in the previous iPhone. One area you really see it scream is in games.” They should learn how they work (they probably do but they need to explain it better), it sounds the same as when Jobs was talking about the A5 in the iPad 2.
They don't even have to come close. Remember when Apple sued that school because the schools logo was a apple that didn't even look similar?
Here's another one: http://www.logolounge.com/article.asp?aid=lnXb Here's the one you're talking about, and one other: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/05/apple-sues-woolworths-ove_n_309450.html
It is kind of ironic that they show off again Infinity Blade. Looks like they are running out of good looking games.
Games, apps... "it is perfect for this great mobile gaming device." Aimed at da kidz.
Why Guardian why...
Love how they're showboating about the graphics and such when Nvidia's Tegra 3 is just round the corner. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] 11:01AM - Second, wireless system: “Our engineering team has worked really hard to advance the state of the art that’s never been done in a phone before. It can now intelligently switch between two antennas between send and receive to make even better call quality.” Please don't fuck it up this time :v:
Did they finally fix the antennae problem where if you held it a certain way, the antennae didn't work? And their solution was "don't hold your phone that way you pleb."
so is it the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S?
