Does nintendo really need a new console already
The main reason for why the WiiU seems so short-lived is because it followed one of the longest console generations in history.
Looking around on other sites, the Nintendo NX is allegedly supposed to be Nintendo's take on a gaming tablet/smartphone. Do we really need that?
Whenever I hear about a gaming phone, I get flashbacks to primary school and that one kid who was unfortunate enough to get this tiny abomination:
The main reason for why the WiiU seems so short-lived is because it followed one of the longest console generations in history.
That's what I was saying earlier. We're so used to 360 and PS3 being the best of the best since 2006/2007 that we forgot about the gaps between the previous generations not being all that long.
as an owner of a wiiu, I LOVE my wiiu, but its pretty much an xbox 360 with a better GPU (literally that powerful, actually) if it wasn't for wiimote and gamepad being as fun as it is I wouldn't have bought it.
Not to mention the NX will not replace the Wii u or the 3DS, nintendo wants people to think of it more as a standalone add-on
please no more gimmicks.........
Said the person with Xbox in his name. Anyway, as for Wii U (upcoming) games. Wii is backwards compatible with Gamecube games Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games NX is backwards compatible with Wii U games?
When was the last time Nintendo released two consoles in a row with no handhelds in between? When was the last time a mainline DQ game released for a Nintendo console? We have no reason to believe that NX is anything other than a handheld.
When was the last time a mainline DQ game released for a Nintendo console?
Dragon Quest 10 was on Wii U, but was never released outside Japan.
Regardless, I hope the release dates for the NX between Japan and the rest of the world aren't too far between. I'd also love to see DQ11 come out over here, but who knows.
