Oh the Stupidity: [FOX] Is Bulletstorm the Worst Video Game in the World?

I vote that stories using Fox 'News' as a source get closed on sight, Fox is yellow journalism for the internet age and shouldn't be taken seriously as a source of news.
Never a dull day at Fox News.
games that include highly objectionable violent or sexual content -- often pump up the level of this kind of content to gain media attention. This tactic typically fails,
:irony:
Please don't post Fox news into the News section, it's not news.
It's more news on their innate stupidity.
Is FOX the Worst "News" Network in the World?
The story, tonight at 10.

People are interested in this. Why would you close this? Sure it's not really completely NEWS, but it definitely needed to be reported here.
it's funny because it's (almost) the exact opposite in europe
Which is 9 on the asinine scale while America's way of making nudity but not violence taboo is 10
Free advertising for Epic bet they are happy
Hahahaha oh wow, it's like they have to pick on every new game that comes out, despite every little consequence they blame the game for has already been around for many years, and NOT because of a video game ora any other video games.
Actually, this is just too stupid to comment on. That so called "psychologist" they got must have ate alot of cereal to get her diploma.
And that's just one little thing in this. The whole rest is downright retarded and makes me question WHO the fuck even see's or believes in this BS.
Hell, my granma blames violent video games for my frosty attitude, and even she doesn't goes anywhere this low. What's next? Blame CoD for the nazis?
Carol Lieberman, a psychologist and book author, told FoxNews.com that sexual situations and acts in video games -- highlighted so well in Bulletstorm -- have led to real-world sexual violence.
“The increase in rapes can be attributed in large part to the playing out of [sexual] scenes in video games,” she said.
Who gave her a degree?
I think stories such as this really show how governmentally authoritarian the right is, but they fight to enforce a different set of morals. Why do I say that? Like the article said, video game activists are saying that government should not be involved, something that I would find ideologically agreeable with the right. Instead, I hear a bunch of bitching and belly-aching about an overlying abstract game that could hardly influence people 11 years or older. It seems like they want to forcefully restrict the distribution of violent games to all people.
It's not worth too much concern. The anti-violent video game activists always seem to get a greater emotional response from content in video games, despite them being adults and the games being very abstract and ungrounded from reality.

American right wing or rest of the world right wing?
I found the answer to the problem. Don't buy your 12 year old bullet storm. Not only will he not be able to play it, I will wont have to listen to your children so its a win win.
Thanks to Fox, my childlike mind will remain pure and wholesome. Now back to playing Duty Calls.

What the Fox News article neglected to mention is that Carol Lieberman is a Conservative hick with a degree in medicine, NOT psychiatry. She's the author of such quality self-help books as "Coping with Terrorism: Dreams Interrupted" and "American Dreams Interrupted: How to Stay Safe and Sane in a Time of Terror".
I think I'll e-mail her and ask why the Democratic Republic of Congo, a developing country with little to no access to video games, is considered the "rape capital of the world."
Oh the irony. If Fox News were running reports claiming Muslims are causing more rapes, she'd be right behind them and say Muslims are to blame!
lol fox news

Change a bit of the text and switch to a darker colour scheme and you have a webpage for a psychic hotline
Another media hype article about a video game and the rating system they don't understand how to use.
(Why are we not using movie ratings again?)
When are News outlets, and Parents going to learn that M rated games are not for kids? When they're rated R?
It's because the media is ran by people of earlier generations. How many articles do you see about "SMOKING DANGEROUS TO CHILDREN'S HEALTH, ADULTS BUYING THEM FOR CHILDREN, THEY MUST BE BANNED!" This is nearly the exact same situation as with pornography, alcohol, tobacco, and other age restricted products. The only difference is that video games only MAY harm mental health, which the previously mentioned do as well while potentially ruining physical health as well.
Wonder what'll happen when Doom 4 comes out...

Fox News: Paragon of research.
I'm really confused. What do they mean the rating system isn't enforced? Everytime I tried to buy an M rated game while under 17, I was carded and denied the sale.
How the fuck is "topless" and "gag reflex" sexual at all?
so your saying the act of playing bulletstorm isnt harmful, but the fact that the parent is willing to let them play is harmful?
yes
if it isn't "look 11 year old son I bought you this game where you get bonus points for shooting people in the asshole" it's another terrible thing, blame the parents as enablers

Fox news must have a dirty mind.
Did you guys forget that lawsuit a while ago that ended up with fox winning, and allowing them to legally lie to people in their news?
