You are right, Android is way too mainstream
Nokia is looking to stand out, doubt they could do it if they use Android. There are too many android phones out there already.
Hopefully this means my Droid 3 gets Icecream Sandwich soon.
IMO They should have stuck with the first droid, and released a new one every year or so. I don't fuck with android phones because a new one comes out every week.

Yeah, looking to stand out, after many of their people left and everyone with a bit of insight considers the brand dead.
this includes motorola tablets right?
This is basically a "Fuck you Apple"
I approve.

THIS MEANS THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET INTERNATIONAL PHONES (FUCK YOU MOTOROLA AND YOUR US ONLY PHONES)

FUCK NO.
Google don't make the phones, only the OS, that's why they're buying Motorola.
Google created the Nexus series of phones, HTC manufactures them. Hopefully great likes will come for my Atrix.
Google will also claim Moto's 17,000 patents and 7,500 pending. I don't think Apple will be happy with that.
Does this mean Nexus phones after the Prime will be Motorola?

What does Apple have anything to do with this?

No, they will still select the best manufacturer for each Nexus.
