Damn, he's all washed up now.
Since laughter is a way many people deal with tragedy, he would probably joke along with them.

For example, in my home town, the largest flood in a century hit, causing havoc for a week, and things weren't back to normal for months. It was so bad even FEMA had to get involved just to get food to people. As my family were clearing things out, and dumping the ruined garbage on the sidewalk, my dad put up a sign: "Garage Sale ->"
Comedy eases some of the pain of tragedy.
Hah, Katrina was funny.
They say laughter is the the best medicine, I guess I'n japan it isn't the same.
I hope he never gets any jobs ever again. Not because of his comments, but because I hate his voice so fucking much.
What a prick.
Seriously, can't he at least wait until the newspapers have forgotten about it? Does he get paid per joke or something?
This just in, a comedian fired for doing his job.
They may be mean jokes, but getting banned for a sense of humor? Seriously?

Companies really try to protect their public image, and they are completely justified in doing so.
I'd love getting paid money for my voice.
yea if you had a bird voice
My friend Ami made some joke about the crisis in Japan. But I said, it's too soon Ami.
There's no such thing as "too soon" for a good joke. When people start to come down on humor during a crisis it's just anal-retentive mob rule.
Also I'm disgusted that companies find it appropriate to fire their loyal employees purely to shield their company from the very slightest tarnishment to their image, and then try to frame it as some sort of moral decision.

Really, no company was going to choose not to buy Aflac because the voice of the duck is a person who likes to make somewhat off-color jokes.
No one would have even heard about this or cared if they hadn't fired him over it. "Look at us, we are firing our employee for making jokes some people might find slightly inappropriate, you know that means our insurance is good!!"
Why do Japanese people always bow?
Because they don't like waves.

Tsu soon?

Pretty sick sense of humour. If he was on 4chan maybe he'd get away with it.
Even if it's his own Twitter, by being employed by the company he is representing the company (especially since he's the voice of their mascot) .
Their fault for picking a comedian known for his colourful jokes.
Oh god, I just remembered that Gottfried was the parrot, I think I'll watch that film again.
Why can't he talk normal like that on the damn roasts. It's so much funnier.
Remember when you could get George Carlin to narrate Thomas the Tank Engine during breaks in his quest to personally insult everyone who ever lived?
Fun times, those were.
