My soul died, does that count?
let's try to remember the stimulus act just recently got us out of a depression and we didn't even notice it
:foxnews:
THIS JUST IN! Glenn bleck loses his eyesight. And nobody caressss!
stimulus act will help america, and probably pay off that debt faster, as opposed to the useless war in iraq that shat on it.
hahahaha [editline]07:21PM[/editline]
You can pay them off with a working economy. To get there you need the stimulus.
Which part of the stimulus is getting us there? Paying for union benefits?
You make it seem like taking AP Gov/Econ is a big deal. At my school everyone took both of those APs. Those two and AP Human Geography are the easiest AP courses. Still at least you won't look like a total idiot when talking about some general economics (if your teacher is decent enough).
Ironically, AP Gov has the lowest pass-rate. Most seniors that have other AP classes just so happened to prioritize AP Gov to the bottom.
Okay guys, I'm taking AP Government AND Honors economics. Let the Advanced Placement American Government and Honor Economical Student explain this after my first semester.
Economics is an extremely complicated field. Even if you are lucky enough to get a teacher who is both competent and working without a political agenda, there is no way you're going to be able to just master it in a year and hand us the elusive solution to all our economic questions. You might as well say you're going to prove string theory after taking high school physics. You don't know anywhere near as much as you think you do.
Oh boy Facepunch Politics, nothing like it.
I was like, "Holy shit" when I read the thread title. Then I saw Fox News...
I doubt Fox News is just plain lying about these numbers
How much does a [del]American soldier's[/del] person's life cost? I'm pretty sure Iraq cost more. pricks.
How much does an American soldier's life cost? I'm pretty sure Iraq cost more. pricks.
It's very hard putting a monetary value on a human By very hard I mean not possible
that's kind of my point.
But...that's why the value of anything isn't really done by the casualties. [editline]07:10PM[/editline] Unless the loss is substantial relative to the amount paid
I never realized how much money was put in the stimulus. We're fucked.
3 million government jobs did not create wealth.
well our fellows here seem to think a bill feeding the ruling classes of the united states is somehow to their own benefit
I doubt Fox News is just plain lying about these numbers
they kinda are [editline]07:27PM[/editline]

watch this
I never realized how much money was put in the stimulus. We're fucked.
no you aren't and without the stimulus the economy would be much worse
Oh boy Facepunch Politics, nothing like it.
It's mostly one sided here.
Iraq cost far more than that. Some 140,000 Coalition killed/wounded, around 150,000 or so Iraqis and insurgents killed/wounded, 55,000 security forces killed/wounded, 1.3 million civilians killed. That's a much heavier cost than the Stimulus Act. [editline]07:05AM[/editline]
It's mostly one sided here.
It depends on what the general consensus is. If you agree with the masses, you're ok. If you disagree, you instantly get gangraped by the masses for having opinionations.
except the Iraq war has done nothing but hurt the US and make it look terrible
Yeah and Vietnam didnt...
I have 3 generations of war veterans in my family. I have no clue about the econmy. im going to assume though that if those american soldiers have a family at home to feed...they're getting a bit of extra money cause you know..they could die? but those families buy shit every day....like food..this creates a chain of events that leads to people having jobs....so i assume of that hundreds of billions of dollars...jobs were created in AMERICA
Yeah and Vietnam didnt...
yeah because this thread is about vietnam
Basically Iraq was a big waste of money. Stimulus was a big not waste of money. Who cares
The rubber dog shit at the Dollar Tree costs less than a pot of chicken soup, a loaf of bread, milk, butter, and utensils/bowls/cups. The food must be a waste of money and therefore is immoral to purchase.
>has never taken an economics class
Without debt there is no economy
Imagine if we put all that Iraq War money into NASA.
Alright, stand the fuck back guys, I'm taking AP Government AND Honors economics. Let the Advanced Placement American Government and Honor Economical Student explain this after my first semester.
Ok... and I took Macroeconomics and Microeconomics in university. High school classes are a joke.
Without debt there is no economy
That was arguably the most retarded thing I've heard all day.
Imagine if we put all that Iraq War money into NASA.
Or our education system :unsmith:
Or tax returns! :q:
