I just want to see Kanye tweet about Trump not caring about black people.
Kanye: *unpopular opinion*
People: I don't like that
Kanye: *changes his mind*
People: I like that
You: WTF?!?!?!? how dare you be happy that someone changed their mind and came to an opinion that you find more agreeable?!?!?
we didn't know if he changed his mind, he just deleted some tweets

Like, go ahead and hate him, I don't care. But it's rather petty to use his political actions as a reason to flip-flop between "GENIUS ARTIST" and "THIS GUY SUCKS!" Especially since the tweets in question explained that he met Trump on the basis of building bridges to change the future for the better.
In what way does this redeem Kanye?
Anyone who couldn't see how fucking horrible Trump was before he got elected is going to have a very, very difficult time earning my respect.
Get off your high horse lmao

Yes god forbid he actually try to be an adult and talk to the man (given that he has the ability to do so) and/or waiting to see what he does before deciding how he should feel or respond to him absolutely.
Like yeah Trump is a straight up manchild flinging his own feces around like a caged monkey but if Kanye did what it sounds like he did then he's the bigger man here.
So if I deleted/snipped all my Trump posts, would I technically drop support for Trump is what I am sensing here?
Could just be community pressure.
He got a lot of shit for it when it came out, I doubt it's suddenly much worse now. Personally I just think the guy's been a bit off his rocker, he pretty obviously has some issues. Either way, whatever.

tbh if i saw you delete all your trump related posts and removed all references of trump from your avatar/future posts i'd probably be like "oh right he's finally normal again" and take your posts a lot more seriously.

I'd actually think that he got abducted by aliens or some shit and they are erasing whatever trace they can of him.
Trump: im gonna do this stuff
Kanye: hell yeah
Trump: *does the stuff*
Kanye: what the fuck
I'm certain Kanye was impressed with Trump's ability to manipulate the media and constantly sit in the spotlight. Kanye's well known for using controversy as a marketing tool - Trump (largely unintentionally) did the same shit.
The few tidbits of political information that Kanye's spoken on make it real clear he wouldn't be a fan of Trump's policies. I think it was more of a "this guy is a genius at twisting controversy into self-promotion." Because both Trump and Kanye do that.
