Report: Iran planning attacks on U.S. targets in Turkey

Yeah iran the new big bad baddy of the decade who isn't actually a threat but just has the balls to stand up to America. Give us some real news, please.
Do it, Iran. I dare you. We've steamrolled your neighbors for more dubious reasons, so go right on ahead, see if a valid reason for a counterattack doesn't see Tehran flattened overnight...
If we can prove it, yeah.
We've stormed in and steamrolled other nations in that area for much darker reasons than a legit attack on our foreign representatives.
Congress does not need proof to storm a mid-eastern country. It's part of why they hate us so much.
Here's what will happen if this escalates.
Iran attacks the usa targets,
Congress declares war.
Iran being an ally of north korea and russia, North korea declares war, As does russia.
The world in chaos, China attacks, seeing an opportunity, But on what side? Either they attack us, Their number 1 out put of national product, Or Russia and the other countries. It's still up in the air.
Or you know it could all blow over and this just be some stupid test so see reactions to it.
war isn't like that anymore
war isn't like that anymore
yes, war has changed
lol at people in this thread COME ON YEAH LETS DO THIS YEAH LETS KILL PEOPLE
doesn't Iran have like 4,5 million troops in total and a shit load of terrorist groups??
It's not like the US isn't already planning strategic moves on Irans military facilities incase of war either. Jesus christ western propaganda bullshit is getting worse and worse.
this is bullshit like it has been said before even if there is war its basicaly most of europe the us and canada fighting iran now how do you think that would end out
they're in league with the terrorists now, and they want WMDs apparently
gee where have I heard that before
Iran maybe a power hungry country, but they're also smart.
They know they can't win a war against the United States, because warring with the United States is basically warring against the entire world. Every major country has ties with the United States, like China. China will very likely side with the United States, because of their economic ties. Besides, people in Iran sort of like the United States, and that it's just the government that are dicks.
Not really. Everyone in the EU and Nato is already tired of the US's warmongering and no one on the planet has the financial ressources or the nerve to attack a well developed nation because of utter lies being praised as reasons for a 'justified' war which will achieve absolutely nothing but throw the already failing world economy completely under the bus and anger potent terror cells. No one left is as stupid and blind as american policymakers right now. In case of war, most likely no one will side with the US or Iran. You are on your own in your next imperial struggle for power. Enjoy the terrorattacks and your axed civil liberties as a result thereof.
What you see here is the US's military industrial complex last attempts to squeeze the last couple of dollars out of your government by using the exact same scheme (scam) they used 10 years ago before it all completely collapses in on itself.

did you read the other thread?
I think we settled on a number around 1.5 million maximum including paramilitaries
All of this covert shit, it's freaking me out.
It's not very covert if it's ending up in the news.

No, what you see here is a news source of questionable validity of a possible Iranian attack on targets in Turkey. If a war started under such an unlikely scenario, ie an Iranian attack on Turkish soil and against American citizens, then I'd call that pretty justified to retaliate not just from the US but from the rest of NATO as well.
Besides, people in Iran sort of like the United States...
Haha, no.

It would take more than a single attack to draw the US into a war.
EDIT Nothing to see here, move along.
Haha, no.
Well, Iran was very west friendly back in the days when everyone was cool. Then came the revolution, similar to what we've seen last year. It went from a secular constitutional monarchy to an Islamic republic. I doubt its citizen find it to be okay.

One terror attack was enough for the US to go ahead and annihilate a country that had absolutely nothing to do with it.

yeah the government was very west friendy while the Shah's secret police was crushing dissent
[editline]19th January 2012[/editline]
the chemical weapons and support that the US and the west provided iraq in the persian conflict was more than enough to piss off quite a few of them
Turkey, what bros.
Oh fuck. Well. We'll see if anything comes of this.
Just when I read your reply, I remembered a lot of replies like "And nothing will happen!"
Well, guess what.
Why does Iran want a war? Imagine they are a small guy holding a twig. And America is a bodybuilder holding a sledgehammer.
Though if the little guy okes the bodybuilder in the eye, it stuns them long enough to turn the tide!

that arguably had more to do with the Bush administration and Cheney looking for an excuse to finish Saddam. 9/11 was just an excuse, they might have done it anyways even without 9/11.
We didn't go and totally invade Libya after the 1986 discotheque bombing, we just bombed them back with planes. bombing campaign =/= invasion or an actual war.
There are even more examples where we didn't pursue massive retaliatory action (well, as big as a war) after a single attack.
I'm not saying it's justified, I'm saying that your statement that the US would so easily be provoked is incorrect, especially considering the current, war-weary political climate and national debt.

Good points, but from what I'm gathering about the recent developments the current presidential candidates are looking for all sorts of excuses to start a war with Iran too. Most of the world has caught on on the US's bullshit though.
yes, war has changed
No. War, war never changes
Everyday, the news of Iran worries me.............
Everyday the people who believe everything they are reading of Iran scares me. We have basically taken part with Israel killing of Iranian Nuclear Scientists. We are just looking for an excuse right now to invade Iran, or by making it look as if they are attacking us [as American ships cruise their shores... after they told us not to.] Dig Deeper -- America is the culprits of causing the next WW3 - they are itching for it. Iranian people just want Nuclear Power just like everyone else -- my computer, and lights in my house are running off of nuclear power, you have things running off of our nuclear power all the time.. the thing is why is America such a hypocrite when it comes to Nuclear Weapons anyways, we are 2nd to Russia in the most nuclear arms it amazes me why we are so prissy about these things.
I've been saying this for years, no Iran war. no world war 3. lets stop this senselessness of war and talk.
one false step, and the whole world goes to shit.
stop doing war campaigns countries, what the fuck, i mean yes iran is doing it, but why all the countries are taking sides? its like the peace will live on while all the important countries have equal amount of weaponry.
Peace is not the objective, peace is the way.
It's not very covert if it's ending up in the news.
au contraire, the operations themselves are covert, but they want it to show up in the news because it's essentially propaganda, "Hey look, we can blow up your scientists if you don't do what we say!"
Though if the little guy okes the bodybuilder in the eye, it stuns them long enough to turn the tide!
Actually, its more like it gives them a good look at their murderer before their head is crushed with a sledgehammer.

You can't go on about how Iran is super great and peaceful, and they just want nuclear energy. They have actually said that they would take Israel off the map, and how they hate basic freedoms. This isn't just "propaganda", it's facts. Some of it has been blown up by the media a little, but there are some simple -bad- people in our world.
Not saying we should bomb them and blow them up, but the answer my friend lies somewhere in the middle.
