I don't follow football. What are they striking over?
They want more benefits.
I generally don't watch games that don't have my favorite teams in them, but I guess I should if it's going to be this entertaining.
It's nowhere close to being entertaining, fight fight argue argue review are all filled in by commercial breaks, after commercial breaks, and it sucks too because they run like 3 different commercials
Not even close. Jennings is clearly in possession there. Hell, they even did a fucking video review and still didn't overturn the call. It's inexcusable.
New rule. You can now get a touchdown by catching the player who catches the ball.
They want more benefits.
They'll probably get it. Unlike Baseball, Everyone in Football splits all the cash that Football brings in evenly. Well at least the teams do And after the 20th yellow flag, the game is a bore. At that point I stand up and scream FUCK just let them play some fucking football god damnit
The NFL has stuck with the ruling apparently. Granted they admit to the OPI as a factor that would have negated the touchdown, but those have to be flagged right away and cannot be reviewed in the replays so therefore it is like that part didn't happen. They still say that the catch was a tie and therefore goes to the receiver
The NFL is going to catch hell over this.
Fun fact : NFL refs are on strike right now. Those are refs from the college NCAA thats doing the refs for the nfl this year.
are you kidding? i WISH these were NCAA refs. these are D3 refs who were brought out of their 20 year retirement to officiate the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE.
the fury I unleashed last night after they called that a TD could have created diamonds, fucking NFl
If I were a Packers fan, I'd be pissed right about now.
If I were a Packers fan, I'd be pissed right about now.
I was rooting for the Seahawks (well, Marshawn Lynch is on my fantasy team and I have no allegiance to the Packers), but I was still pissed at the bullshit call. Doesn't matter who you cheer for, a bad call is something all fans hate. [editline]25th September 2012[/editline]
Jennings TOTALLY had that shit. That call made me so pissed off. Unbelievable.
On an unrelated note: are you a UGA student/fan?
he had possession of jennings, who had the ball. touchdowns via the transitive property! in all seriousness i am extremely pissed off
this is happening all over the nfl, because these refs are all replacements from lower divisions the normal refs are in lockout
this is happening all over the nfl, because these refs are all replacements from lower divisions the normal refs are in lockout
theyre taking refs from the lingerie football league
If I were a Packers fan, I'd be pissed right about now.
you have no idea
All I ever hear about from sports is how crap the refs are. Either, they followed the rules, and everyone hates them for it (The side I'm on, because I don't know crap about sports, and they should know the rules), or they didn't follow the rules, and they should be punished, possibly fired.
theyre taking refs from the lingerie football league
correction, fired refs from the lingerie league http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/replacement-refs-working-nfl-fired-lingerie-football-league-report-article-1.1167796 [editline]25th September 2012[/editline]
All I ever hear about from sports is how crap the refs are. The standard regulation refs are on strike, so they league is using replacements that don't have nearly enough experience at this level of sport. The complaints here are actually deserved.
greenbay got screwed, if you think the refs were correct, then your wrong, u could easily see jennings had the ball, even the announcers were saying that was one of the worst calls in nfl history, the thing that gets me is that they even reviewed it nd still thought they were right, which is which is rediculous because any schmuck sitting on there couch at home saw that jennings had the ball, my guess is that they dint want 2 reverse the call cause the crows would have beem out of control.
They really need to get the refs back. Every week there has been a shit ton of questionable calls/no calls a lot more than usual. Its even gotten to the point where games are being ruined and are no longer fun to watch. I remember the first half of the Broncos/Falcons game, when there were penalties left and right, confusion by the refs, fights breaking out it was a fucking mess. They really need the regular refs back. At first i thought "meh replacement refs, sure there will maybe be a few mistakes but well get through it" but now its become a huge, glaring issue. Just fucking pay them the money they deserve, im sure refereeing is incredibly hard and stressful (threats by both fans and players) and they definitely got it a right more of the time than these replacements.
It was pretty much as quiet as the day after 9/11 at school today
correction, fired refs from the lingerie league http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/replacement-refs-working-nfl-fired-lingerie-football-league-report-article-1.1167796 [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] The difference here is that the refs are actually bad. I can't believe that these people are just wrong every week if everyone can see the correct call. I mean, I assume they get some training.

I don't understand anything in this thread.
I don't understand anything in this thread.
then why are you here
then why are you here
Because when I saw the title I thought that they were talking about an animal called a Seahawk.
fuck the fudge packers [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] lol scab refs. thats fucked
fuck the fudge packers
Okay like, I understand if you hate Green Bay but if this shit would have gone for Chicago or any other team there would be the same level of outrage.
I was rooting for the Seahawks (well, Marshawn Lynch is on my fantasy team and I have no allegiance to the Packers), but I was still pissed at the bullshit call. I'm not smart enough or close enough to attend UGA.
Ah, I assume you watched us crush Vandy this past weekend? Such an easy lineup this season.
Okay like, I understand if you hate Green Bay but if this shit would have gone for Chicago or any other team there would be the same level of outrage.
I wanted the Seahawks to win, and even I was outraged. I'll probably not watch football for a week or two as my own little personal protest, even though it won't do much other than make myself feel better.
