I thought all the crazy religious politicians moved off to the colonies
Yes, persecution...if by persecution you mean anyone who doesn't agree with you or advocates for equal rights for everyone regardless or race, religion, creed, gender or sexuality. If you are "forced" into recognizing the equal rights of others...you're being persecuted.
It's true, Christians are the most persecuted... if you're measuring by number of people of each religion persecuted, and count persecution for any reason, that's technically true.
Belief is just faith in an idea, and no idea should ever be safe from scrutiny.
Of course, but you're just being an asshole if it somehow at some point comes up that a person is religious and you start trying to disprove it. But hey, it doesn't really matter because one of the things I've learned is that friends tend to stay friends when they don't discuss either politics or religion, so I don't with my atheist friends.
I'm Christian and I've never been assaulted in the streets for being that. The closest to persecution I've seen is the whole "Non-Denominational Winter Holiday" bullshit that seems to be getting worse in America every year.

At least 73% of Americans identify as Christian. Not only that Christianity is the largest religion in the fucking world, beating out Islam. Who in the fuck are they being persecuted by? Other Christians?
Notice how it specifically says between 2006 and 2012. i don't think that's a very good indication of the now. Notice how it also says that the severety of discrimination isn't recorded, which thus pretty much makes it say nothing about how bad Christians are discriminated. It also doesn't state its criteria for when discrimination is actually seen as discrimination. Does "not accepting jesus" already count as such? Notice how it also doesn't say which countries are the ones recorded. Maybe they are all very small countries, both in size and population?
I won't argue with the rest of your points, but do you really imagine things to have changed dramatically in the course of two years? On a global scale? The data won't be identical, but it'll be functionally the same.
Several posters in this thread are flat out denying his claim that Christianity is the most persecuted relgion. But can you back it up? Check your prejudice.
Probably because there are more Christians than anyone else [t]http://cn.static-economist.com/sites/default/files/images/2012/12/blogs/graphic-detail/20121222_woc669.png[/t][t]http://www.pewforum.org/files/2012/12/01_groups.png[/t][t]http://www.pewforum.org/files/2012/07/Advocacy-charts-07.png[/t][t]http://cdn-2.adherents.com/images/rel_pie.gif[/t][t]http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/history/images/stats/world_religions.gif[/t][t]http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/img/ausador/2013/12/13/graph2.jpg[/t] also Your numbers mean nothing when it's because there are so many more Christians period. Look at the number of jews + how harassed they are. Percentage wise, Jews and Muslims have it like, way way worse. since we're going by graphs, there's a large number of graphs that seem to have around 30-34% Christians on it depending on the year. these are WORLDWIDE statistics.
