I hope they won't open the stab-fund to see a gaping hole in it like that last time we had to rely on it. You can only throw money at economic disasters for so long.
Well, this usually works. And we still have our gold reserve and all this kind of stuff. And...well, i'm totally not an economist, but at this very point i think if Putin won't do some crazy bullshit then these sanctions won't hit us hard. I mean, they can't cut all the ties, so the worst scenario i can imagine is a temporary lowering of gas prices or anything like that. Also, . Dude, can you even into irony?
What Irony? I didn't see a joke there.
What Irony? I didn't see a joke there.
are you serious
Yeah I'm fucking serious, if you made a joke, then it was a bad jokes that, at best I didn't get, and at worst, nullifies gudman's and Ezhik's situation for the sake of a dumb joke.
are you serious
I believe he is TOO serious.
What Irony? I didn't see a joke there.
Well, first of all, the irony is that if they ban dota then kids will pay more attention to education and you'll get rid of these memetic russian dota players. And it's always funny to read about this imaginary dota addiction (oh wait, is it really imaginary?.//)
Yeah I'm fucking serious, if you made a joke, then it was a bad jokes that, at best I didn't get, and at worst, nullifies gudman's and Ezhik's situation for the sake of a dumb joke.
Nobody has a bad situation yet except some ukranians maybe. Nobody's joking about this crisis, it's all about this game and nothing more. And yeah, even in the worst situations ever you should never lose you sence oh humor or you're done. C'mon.
Who cares about Dota, your country is going fucking bankrupt!
Don't we import a lot of oil from them? God damn it I don't want gas prices rising AGAIN. I'm already paying $3.45 a goddamn gallon.
it is still cheaper than 1 gallon of gas in Latvia.
Who cares about Dota, your country is going fucking bankrupt!
How do you know? Nothing has happened yet, just calm down. We won't be bankrupts, as i've said above, and there won't be any world war 3 that you fear so much. Everything will be alright.
Who cares about Dota, your country is going fucking bankrupt!
maybe gudman and ezhik can help you save russia
So the leader of a country full of starving people is an asshole, and because he is, we're going to make all his unwilling subjects starve EVEN MORE?
So far the sanctions only target people close to Putin. I doubt those people are part of the "unwilling starving subjects" group.
[QUOTE=Pvt. Because you're the intergalatic standard for what is funny and what isn't. And you had to add some swearing into there to prove your point, big guy. If it makes your dumb, arrogant ego swell up any bigger - . . . You just transformed me from a lurker into a poster JUST to tell you what a massive cunt you are being.
Who cares about Dota, your country is going fucking bankrupt!
Russia is not going bankrupt. All the sanctions against them so far are half-measures
Wow. Because you're the intergalatic standard for what is funny and what isn't. And you had to add some swearing into there to prove your point, big guy. The thread's subject is on how Russia is going to get economically blown to bits, because Putin was an idiot.
How am I the asshole here? The thread's subject is on how Russia is going to get economically blown to bits, because Putin was an idiot.
its a good thing that americas sanctions are going to hurt american way worse than they'll hurt russian, then!
So the leader of a country full of starving people is an asshole, and because he is, we're going to make all his unwilling subjects starve EVEN MORE?
LOL @ thinking russia is all poverty and third world brb moscow city with highest amount of wealthy people on the planet brb best commercial services you will find if you can afford them brb beautiful parks and history and tourist areas brb glorious historical buildings brb brb
But I didn't say russia is just a third world crapsack. Also how are these sanctions going to hurt America, they really won't. We're taking action against something very illegal.
Also how are these sanctions going to hurt America, they really won't..
probably because russia imports around 30 billion dollars of goods from america every year
probably because russia imports around 30 billion dollars of goods from america every year
Meaning what exactly? We impose sanctions, they loose those imports. You do understand that there's a shitton more countries in this big big world than Russia. We'll just sell out crap to other places in the world it's not that hard.
Meaning what exactly? We impose sanctions, they loose those imports. You do understand that there's a shitton more countries in this big big world than Russia. While Stroma's and antianan's jokes was kind of not that great (although I found it funny how it implies that Russia is closer to Worst Korea and not Best Korea), there's nothing to be passive-aggressive about. Second, no trade sanctions have been imposed as of yet. And I think they're kind of unlikely - trade sanctions hurt everyone. While we will miss out on goods, your businesses will miss out on a huge market and get hurt pretty bad. Hardly worth it.

As for the sanctions...well, I think they will impose some, just to show their own people that "they showed these russkies who's the boss", but these sanctions won't be that harsh. And, of course, all this can work out if putin won't do some stupid things like advancing our troops further to the west. But I believe he won't.
LOL @ thinking russia is all poverty and third world brb moscow city with highest amount of wealthy people on the planet brb best commercial services you will find if you can afford them brb beautiful parks and history and tourist areas brb glorious historical buildings brb brb
man, i literally don't get this canadian hard on for russia thing it's weird as hell
Lmao nobody is going bankrupt, so far all I've noticed are the prices went up two rubles (1 dollar - about 35 rub)
Plus all those sanctions are applied only on Russian political [del]crooks[/del] figures who actually deserve it. Not that they won't try to squeeze money from common folk..
I haven't noticed much difference either except for a massive increase of hooray-patriotic bullshit on tv
you guys realize the effects of economic sanctions won't be felt within hours/days of them happening right???
you guys realize the effects of economic sanctions won't be felt within hours/days of them happening right???
Sure they will. Imposing really harsh sanctions would instanly affect to rouble exchange rate, so the prices should jump up in a couple of days at max. Then our government would hopefully fix them by using stub fund money, but still. And of course there would be tons of articles about it. But i don't see any of these. So yeah, nothing special has happened yet.

It seems like a good idea, but it's neither making the value climb or presenting a long term solution.
