2nd suspicious letter found, addressed to President Obama. Similar to ricin letter addressed to Sena

i think it might have something to do with gun control, since both Obama and the senator support it. although it's just as likely to be unconnected, since there's any number of reasons for some right-wing loony to target Obama these days.
I wonder what the letters had written on them.

'Do not read'
The envelope came from INSIDE THE HOUSE

I could think of a meme to answer this with, but I don't want to get banned for a dumb snipe.
In Germany some anonymous guy gave some bun sandwiches poisened with rat poison to some enterprise as a "present". They ate them.

"My favorite season of Breaking Bad was season 4."
Seriously, quite a disturbing week.
A third envelope has been found inside the U.S. Capital Building. Sen. Richard Shellby's office is on lockdown.
Oh Walter...

What about Season 2?
Was it in a cigarette?
Then it was Jesse Pinkman.
How exactly is letter containing ricin meant to kill somebody?
Wiki told me you have to breathe ricin in (it's a solid protein), digest it, or get it into your bloodstream, to get fucked up. Do they expect the recipient to lick/snort the content of the letter?
It's a simple matter for someone to touch a ricin coated material, then touch their mouth/pick their nose/stick their finger in any other mucous membrane.

It's a press briefing, they already finished answering questions about the incidents.

Questions on the letters have finished. They seem to be answering general questions to the gov now

Aw I missed it. What did they say?
It's kind of interesting how this occurs shortly after the attack on Boston.
After the 9-11 attacks the same thing happened with Anthrax and letters being sent to government personnel.

OTT?
I like how this news is barely shocking or terrible anymore since nearly every politician has mail screeners that find these things way before anybody can be a victim of them.

Personally, I knew that the president had a screener. But I didn't know Senators and such had them too. It's quite possible who ever sent the letters knew even less than that.
this is some damn good viral marketing on amc's part.
The letters read: "To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance," according to US media citing intelligence sources.
They were reportedly signed: "I am KC and I approve this message."
Ricin can enter the bloodstream in more ways than just digestion. The powder is usually very fine, with very little in the envelope itself. It'd be rubbed into the paper itself or the contents of the envelope in order to appear less suspicious. Once the victim opens the envelope and touches the paper, the poison is transferred to his fingers. From his fingers it's likely to be transferred to his mouth, or eyes, both of which can deliver the poison into the system, resulting in exposure. There's also been "puffer" letters that have been used in the past. Edit: Damn, late. Clocks.
