LOL can mean lots of love.
LOL can mean lots of love.
no.
Tipping should be outlawed
Paying below minimum wage should be outlawed.
tips are stupid, outdated idea that needs to die how about pay your employees and living wage instead
The idea that you have to pay a tip is stupid. [editline]25th August 2015[/editline] I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant where you have to pay a tip, or that paying tip is somehow officially part of what you actually have to pay. And I'd probably raise hell if they did.
LOL can mean lots of love.
So "WTF asshole" can mean "well that's fine asshole" then huh? Gotta draw the line somewhere.
If you ordered over $100 worth of food, it might take a while to cook.
100 dollars for food is like 2 meals and a couple drinks, plus an appetizer and dessert
I swear to god if we had a $100+ bill and the restaurant automatically took 15% of that I'd be livid. Wouldn't eat there again
Being livid over $15 when you're paying $100 for a meal in the first place? [editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
100 dollars for food is like 2 meals and a couple drinks, plus an appetizer and dessert
Yeah at a highly formal eatery. Plates at midrange places like apple bees is like $20 a person
And how many places do you know that actually reinforce that? None. Mine don't. If I walk out with $10 in tips and get a $50 paycheck... I just have to have $60 last me the week.
Get a new job, thats awful. Go answer calls at a callcenter and get 800 bucks a week
100 dollars for food is like 2 meals and a couple drinks, plus an appetizer and dessert
Going off the websites menu most things are priced around 8-12 dollars, assuming drinks as well that is a pretty average meal price for a large party.
Being livid over $15 when you're paying $100 for a meal in the first place? [editline]25th August 2015[/editline] Yeah at a highly formal eatery. Don't most places just take an automated 10% as a tip though?
Get a new job, thats awful. Go answer calls at a callcenter and get 800 bucks a week
I've already let them know I'm going to put my 2 weeks in very soon. Got some dental surgery coming up which will put me out for a month or two as it is.
Don't most places just take an automated 10% as a tip though?
What the hell id lose my mind, I do tip only if i like the service, canadian waiters get 10.60 regardless though, at least in nova scotia
Did you miss the part in the article where it says 8 people were dining, 100 dollars for 8 people is pretty good
I didn't miss anything friend you're the one who said it costs $100 for two people to dine!
Yeah at a highly formal eatery. Plates at midrange places like apple bees is like $20 a person
Boston Pizza isnt that formal, thats what i usually pay for two people there
You need to take in to account cost of living, this place doesn't look very high in terms of costs
Boston Pizza isnt that formal, thats what i usually pay for two people there
idk man where I live it only costs $100 for two people at pretty nice dress-up restaurants where you get the finest of eats like halibut and risotto. Local pizzerias here are mostly prices in line with larger chains like papa johns (which is typically like $20 for a large pizza)
I didn't miss anything friend you're the one who said it costs $100 for two people to dine!
Spending $100 for two people is easy. My wife and I do that all the time.
Spending $100 for two people is easy. My wife and I do that all the time.
I didn't say it was hard. I was just saying mid-range dining is typically not $50 a person in cost in most areas.
I didn't say it was hard. I was just saying mid-range dining is typically not $50 a person in cost in most areas.
Depends really, two meals is usually 20 to 25 each, then you got drinks and a beer is usually 4.25 each then if you order dessert youre looking at another 15 each, if you get a decent appetizer its another 25, then you add the tax which in nova scotia is 15% youre looking at around 100
Depends really, two meals is usually 20 to 25 each, then you got drinks and a beer is usually 4.25 each then if you order dessert youre looking at another 15 each, if you get a decent appetizer its another 25, then you add the tax which in nova scotia is 15% youre looking at around 100
I'm a pretty plain diner, so I only occasionally get beer and pretty much never sign on for dessert. I live in an area with a very low cost of living for the US though, so usually an entree is only like $10-15 here. Normally when my girlfriend and I go out to eat we make it out under $60, unless we're doing something a little fancier then it's a bit over $100 most of the time. Probably mostly area differences though, as it sounds like the cost is just across the board higher where you're at.
And we know she didn't bullshit it how?
I wouldn't even get out of bed for 2.50 an hour. Judging from this thread, even without tips I make more than American waiters.
If my dad ever got shit service, he would put a penny in a glass of water, use the menu to flip the glass without spilling it, and then place it on the table and pull the menu out.
no offense to you, but your dad sounds like actual scum i'm the motherfucker that has to clean up after shitters like him, and this makes me want to slam my head through the wall
And we know she didn't bullshit it how?
Is this a serious question?
Is this a serious question?
Yeah why not. People have done similar things before. [editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
Depends really, two meals is usually 20 to 25 each, then you got drinks and a beer is usually 4.25 each then if you order dessert youre looking at another 15 each, if you get a decent appetizer its another 25, then you add the tax which in nova scotia is 15% youre looking at around 100
4.25 for a beer? And then tip money on top? Holy shit that is really expensive.
Yeah why not. People have done similar things before.
The guy's card was already swiped. I don't think this is fake. [editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
4.25 for a beer? And then tip money on top?
So "WTF asshole" can mean "well that's fine asshole" then huh? Gotta draw the line somewhere.
Not the same at all. I mean, LOL had an established meaning of lots of love before it came to mean what you know it as.
whats great about this is in her facebook post she complains about only receiving pay of $2.50/ an hour and that some of her paychecks are less than pocket change, but the federal government forces your employer to make up the difference if you dont make minimum wage from tips. what a shitty way to spread misinformation, but i guess anything to help support your position right?
A lot of places won't do this but will instead simply assume you don't know this information.
