yeah! thats exactly why france and the UK were desperately clinging for life before WW2! damn, i should educate myself more.
I'll take what is evidence for 1,000 Alex.
list as many as you want, go on as many tangents as you want, all you've shown is you have no grasp of context and instead latch on to one aspect of something and determine that's at fault.
You have a conclusion, and you will bend anything and everything to prove yourself right.
Why should I waste time arguing with you when you'll do so
So those nations all fell apart purely because of it
prove it
since you're asking me to prove something thats inherently unprovable, ill be happy to offer up a counterpoint.
how often did you see west germans trying to escape west germany?
Let's just face it: 99% of the time, countries that identify as socialist are shit places full of mismanagement and corruption. Socialism, instability and corruption have historically been shown to go hand-in-hand. Also, the Scandinavian countries aren't socialist countries. Just because they have things like universal healthcare doesn't mean they're socialist. At the most, they are mixed economies. In fact, when lord and saviour Bernie said he looked to 'socialist Denmark' for inspiration, Denmark's PM actually went to the news to say that Denmark isn't socialist and that it fully supports the market economy.
Venezuela is arguably socialist but it is definitely more so than Scandinavian countries, given the centralisation of the means of production by the government, and how things are run. Eg I'm pretty sure what we call the co-op management structure are the norm there.

Your snarky replies only serve to make people disagree with you more.

um the "welfare" state that you attribute to socialist states grew out of ww2 concessions made to keep workers working, and post ww2 to keep the economy alive while the industries were trying to retool and rebuild
countries with relatively free markets that only recently adopted a welfare state model? damn you sure got me
Not sure what you mean by "recently", but the Nordic countries started being semi-socialistic in the late 1800's/early 1900's, with it really kicking off after WWII

you're confusing communist with socialist
since you're asking me to prove something thats inherently unprovable, ill be happy to offer up a counterpoint.

East Germany was communist not socialist. They are different words for a reason.
how often did you see west germans trying to escape west germany?
The economy had nothing to do with that.
People fled from east germany to west germany because it was an awful dictatorship, not because the economy sucked.
you're confusing communist with socialist
so venezuela is communist now too? can you explain what the difference is for me?
since you're asking me to prove something thats inherently unprovable, ill be happy to offer up a counterpoint.

Oh my
Can you keep going? It's joyful how ignorant you are of history.
Rather than ask yourself "Why didn't any of them do that", you've said "Fuck that, I know why, my preconceived conclusion MUST be right, there's nothing else to consider here".
The economy had nothing to do with that.

an awful dictatorship because of socialism/communism. sorry bud

OBVIOUS BAIT IS OBVIOUS
an awful dictatorship because of socialism/communism. sorry bud
LOLWAT
Communism came from the dictator's desire to control the country, not the other way around.
an awful dictatorship because of socialism/communism. sorry bud
Oh wow
that's not a decontextualized and mind numbingly simplified version of events
so venezuela is communist now too? can you explain what the difference is for me?
he said 99% of "self identified socialist countries"
i'll give you a hint, one of the S's in the USSR was socialist, but that didn't mean they were socialists
LOLWAT
Communism came from the dictator's desire to control the country, not the other way around.
wrong again. if you're reliant on the state for everything then its alot easier for the state to control you
an awful dictatorship because of socialism/communism. sorry bud
Looks like we know who failed high school history.

BUT THE NAZI'S WERE SOCIALISTS SO THAT'S WHY THEY WERE BAD
an awful dictatorship because of socialism/communism. sorry bud
There are numerous things wrong with this post.
1. Socialism and communism aren't interchangeable terms.
2. If you think the USSR was a shit place to live solely because of its economic model then you have literally no understanding of what you're talking about.

you're right! the nazis were socialist too! man isn't it just weird how must socialist/communist countries end up being total evil?

*Solely because they described themselves as socialist.
you're confusing communist with socialist
No I'm not. But thanks for correcting me though, because I should have said in that first sentence that it applies to 99% of countries that have ever identified as socialist or communist. Not that there's even been a proper communist society though.
you're right! the nazis were socialist too! man isn't it just weird how must socialist/communist countries end up being total evil?
Thanks for taking my bait
now I know to ignore you.
Obvious troll is stupidly obvious.
not an argument
Technically it was.
Just not one you want to deal with.
