Pray to god it doesn't happen. The reactor though in Japan is smaller than Chernobyl, so we don't have to worry about as much radiation, but we should still worry.

If memory serves it was because they were ironically doing safety drills and pushing the plant to it's limits to make sure that it would survive a worst case scenario.

Just the Japanese think the 8.9 quake was a forquake and their still waiting for the real one, but seems doubtful. But I can't confirm my specialty is engineering etc. not geology.

Sometimes before an actual earthquake occurs you get a forquake before the main one, then you get aftershocks in between each one, Japan thinks that 8.9 was a forquake and the main one will happen shortly etc. but I don't understand the logic in this, an 8.9 forquake? More tsunamis? Doubtful wait and see.
