You know, this could also be an excuse for him to use if he was already gay, and secretive about it.
Ten bucks says he wanted to come out of the closet and found the stroke to be a perfect excuse for doing it
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2058921/Chris-Birch-stroke-Rugby-player-wakes-gay-freak-gym-accident.html Fucking knew it. This was the first site to report it, 2 hours before MSN did. I call bullshit. edit: for non-UKers Daily Mail is about as reputable as someone's scribblings on a toilet cubicle.
Only if those scribblings are in shit.
Now that you put it that way I see what you mean, people prefer certain colours, smells and tastes. Gender preference is no different.
Gender preference is different. The average human isn't born with a preference for the color green, however (talking average), they are born with a sexual preference for the opposite sex rather than the same sex. There is no "right" preference, but there is only one that would allow humans reproduce in nature.
I thought that when your brain chemistry affects what you're attracted to, I read somewhere that Serotonin levels affected what genders you were attracted to. So if that is true then something like say a stroke which affects the brain's chemistry isn't impossible to cause such changes to sexuality.
Well obviously he's always been gay. He only played rugby because he gets to see men naked in the changing rooms and gets to feel them up in scrums, and he used a 'girlfriend' as cover to guarantee that it never crossed his teammate's minds that he might be gay so that he could stay in the game without any worries of being rejected. But after he broke his neck he realised that it wasn't worth the risk. So he suddenly came out to live the life he's always wanted to, without the masculine pressures of rugby and girlfriends getting in the way. Or something like that.
picture of him now
Wow. That just screams gay. [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] I wonder why he even had a wife in the first place. Was he trying to cover up his sexuality?
It might not be the case, but I can easily imagine that he was gay before, but just really adamantly rejected the idea and suppressed it, and possibly never even realized it consciously. The trauma might have shaken the shit in his head and what was previously hidden deep underneath came onto the surface.
Strange..
Explain me how the fuck can someone wake up gay? He's just trying to get attention.
I thought sexuality was because of hormone inbalances. instead of testosterone, you get the female hormones.
in b4 churches claim hitting gays in the head will make them non-gay.
Reminds me of this American woman that awoke from a coma only to find out she suddenly had a British accent. Actually it's a mix of accents but it's not longer "American" Can't embed video so here's the article http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42912831/ns/today-today_health/#.TrxJ4PKZaSo Nevermind, not a coma but awoken from surgery.
WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA SLOW YOUR SHITSACS DOWN How? Now people will think being gay is a cause of mental damage.
Some people wake up with another accent after a stroke. Does that mean having a British accent means you have brain damage?
The thing to worry abut with this is now people will think sexual orientation can be changed by altering something in the brain. I can imagine one of those straight camps trying to come up with some sort of "De-gaying" surgery.
picture of him now
I'd hit it. [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] [sp]not really[/sp]
Shit, what if you were married.

I love the brain. It's so fascinating.
obviously he just thought if he got into a coma he might aswell troll everyone with the fact and pretend to be completely different give him a few days, he'll be back to normal.
This could potentially give more insight into how sexuality works in the brain. I find this fascinating.
This sounds like something you'd expect in a family guy episode.
Don't know about you but god damn, that poor fiance.
I love the brain. It's so fascinating.
I think this is terrifying. I can't imagine waking up and being a completely different person. I'd rather die, and as far as I'm concerned I would be dead.
This doesn't help the image of Rugby players at all. As if the really short shorts and the piles of men weren't enough.
this sounds like an onion article or something lol
