I like the Finnish name (Taisteluni). It almost sounds like a microwavable pasta meal.
Im kinda surprised this book isnt public domain, all things considered. I dont know, maybe issue a foreword? Outright banning it is restricting information, and the only reason one would seriously read this is for historical intrest purposes.
Rather than a how-to guidebook for the aspiring fascist, the new reprint, the group said this month, will instead be a vital academic tool, a 2,000-page volume packed with more criticisms and analysis than the original text.
well no shit
Really? A Book that pushes ideologies is dangerous? They're 2000 years too late to say that.
wait, did gawker keep tweeting coke after they pulled their happiness add due to gawker posting a quote from the book?
I bet that more people would read / become interested in it if we "banned" it.
I bet that more people would read / become interested in it if we "banned" it.
This is why Banned Books week is a thing.
I want to read that in the public

(Except where it's been artificially prolonged by lobbyists or the dead author's estate)
I am german and honestly i am interested to read this. Really curious what our Adolf has written.
Its a book written by lunatic not a Neonazi bible no reason to ban it
Yeah, I don't see why there's so much controversy around it.
Meanwhile no one is bothered by the little red book being widely available.

I have a copy of this. It's on my bookshelf right next to the Communist Manifesto. Figured that would be the safest place for it to be if anyone saw it, and get a good feeling of who I'm with when I see which book they're more shocked I have
there have been books and plays banned before that have been unbanned with touchy content and political statements but at least some authors actually try to be crafty and subtle and smart. This book really is name calling and honestly not that well written if you read it. Itll probably sell well due to shock factor but it really is appalling
I don't see why we wouldn't ban most religious books also if we were going to ban this, "it's not meant to be taken literally!"
Meanwhile no one is bothered by the little red book being widely available.
are you referring to mao zedong's book? you gonna have to complain about it to china. :v:
My thoughts exactly. I don't like the people whining about it, if they could STFU and listen for a second, before jumping into conclusions...
People are irrational when it comes to nazism. They'll burn anything that as much as resembles a swastika.
The book, in my opinion, holds some historical significance. I'm also not very keen on censorship especially in this fashion. I've read it, and personally, it shows the rationale which Hitler thought (regardless if you agree or disagree) of in a time when Germany was dealing with instability after the first world war. In short, keep it, learn from it, and understand how to prevent men like him from attaining power. [editline]26th February 2015[/editline]
are you referring to mao zedong's book? you gonna have to complain about it to china. :v:
The book to my knowledge does not go as deep into Mao's thoughts and rationale as Mein Kampf did for Hitler. Quite frankly, its just another piece of propaganda.
I believe it is also available (in digital format) from the Archive. Turns out it is indeed.
It's a fucking book. A fucking book that's quite dated as well. The only people this will effect are those already with such predispositions.
I want to read that in the public
I would strongly recommend not to.
I would strongly recommend not to.
I think it would make for an interesting hidden camera video.
I want to read that in the public
Read it while wearing an lgbt rights t shirt or something similar, just to confuse people
It's a book, not sure how it would be dangerous. If it made someone snap in the head, it would only be the trigger for an underlying mental problem, it wouldn't be the actual cause of the problem.
My grandpa has one of the original prints, when I was younger I read through it a bit. It was actually interesting to glance through-- even if I didn't understand the concepts. Might still have it lying around
All my history teachers said that the book is incredibly bad. It's extremely boring and bad written. All he does is describing what he later did. Like, how to get the power, start a war and even all the fuss about the jews. So I was never interested in actually reading it. I'd rather read a different book which got some attention in Germany lately. The title would translate to "He's back" and it's about Hitler waking up in the middle of Berlin in today's time before starting a career in television. :v: This is the cover: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31mO%2BQDXudL.jpg
