Ubisoft CEO says ZombiU was not even close to profitable, no plans/desires for a sequel.

So basically Nitendo is losing most of the third party developers....
If this doesn't do any better then I might say that Nitendo might lose this one in the long one if they don't get those back.
And the Hardware is not very good, that is compared to everything else but that shouldn't really be the biggest issue right now.
Unless they are actaully not selling consoles at a loss here.
Right now the only people playing on a Wii U are Nintendo fanboys and people who got hyped for ZombiU. There aren't any other games worth buying, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, X, and Zelda, none of those are out yet and only a couple are even close. These are games the WiiU shold have released with, they should not be 9 months into a console's life and have supporters saying "and just the ones coming in the next 16 months". 16 months?! In that time the XBone and PS4 will be a year old, we'll have moved on. All of those games should be out right now or released by the end of the year, not trapped in the ephemera of 'we managed to get 8 major games released in the first 2 years'.
Nintendo fucked up hard with the Wii U and they can only blame themselves. I just hope the handful of quality games that are released for the Wii U are as good as they should be, give the people who bought one a reason to keep it hooked up.
Though you're right about the fact that Nintendo really should have had a better launch line-up (or any launch titles at all for that matter), you're wrong saying there are NO games. A LOT of people bought a Wii U or 3DS for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (which is quite good). Believe me that game will keep you busy for a long time.
I'd like to point out the main gripe is the combat, despite the fact the game is much more about survival than being a shooter.
I liked it, it just really depends on your playstyle and if you're good at adapting
I'm not complaining? I'm saying that the risk that they took was not very successful.
They should have taken a DIFFERENT risk.
if only they had known this before making a bad game...

But Monster Hunter 3 has been available on the Wii for years. Why would you buy a new console for a slightly improved version of a game you can get for next to nothing?

Someone's never played Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Lego City helped sell quite a few consoles when they launched but the number of consoles still wasn't all that much.
Outside of the Rabbid games, Rayman has only had 4 other games
I count five with the main series (+ the GBA game) and Origins. The educational game actually got me into Rayman in the first place. If you don't know about Rayman M, I feel bad for you. Kickass game.
In all honesty, i liked the E3 trailer.

I bought the game around launch, disappointed about no sequel. The campaign is fairly replayable and interesting

I remember at launch I added a few people from the Wii U thread to my friends list, and about half way into the game I found the zombies of a few FP people.
I smashed their faces in and took their stuff. I managed to get a shotgun with some ammo and medkits from someone.
I played it until a wave of zombies came to the safehouse
I died and was stuck inside the safehouse with a horde of my former lives trying to kill me
Do you mean the house with the mounted machine gun outside?

That was me, took me forever to recover from that death because it crippled my progress for a while.

Oh lol, well thanks for that shotgun :v:
I also remember killing Pandajerk early in the game and taking all his pistol ammo.

Well the good thing about it was that it forced me to learn how to weapon farm, which became the biggest nuisance for me for the rest of the game, since I ended up doing it more often after that.
I've never even heard of this game, not once that I recall. Did it have shit marketing or something?
I would've liked to have played this game, but I'm not the slightest bit interested in a Wii U. I sold my Wii and bought a PS3 instead, haven't looked back.
Had a nice time with it but I just grew bored of it. I'm not much of a Mario or Zelda fan, but Twilight Princess was quite good.
