Weren't these piece of shits doxxed?
yes, doesn't mean that they will stop
That will only happen when they are forced to stop really
He'd probably be more inclined to do that if those same authorities didn't dedicate the past 3 years to destroying his life.
Well maybe if Kim Dotcom hadn't dipped half of his company in shady if not outright illegal schemes the authorities wouldn't have been able to wreck his shit past the fifth dimension

Was his supposedly shady shit and takedown been justified? Haven't been following that case so I have no idea if they actually found anything shady enough to wreck him like they did.
What about sony hack? That's a high profile attack. So far no success in catching anyone. NSA isn't internet god.
To be fair, the Sony hack was meticulously planned by an organisation who know what they're doing, and how to cover their tracks. LizardSquad are just a bunch of script kiddies who are playing with DDoS. They'll get caught eventually, and I hope they'll get dicked in the ass by the authorities that do.
These kinds people operate under a pseudo-intellectual, childish, "fuck the corporations" system with no regard to the people who are going to be affected by this. I personally can't wait until they get caught.

If North Korea was really behind the hacking (I haven't kept up with the news, is this still a thing?) it might make it difficult for NSA to catch them.

So did they let go of PSN yet or is it just my PS4.
So did they let go of PSN yet or is it just my PS4.
The servers are still recovering from the attacks.
So did they let go of PSN yet or is it just my PS4.
They stopped attacking hours ago, the servers just aren't back up yet.
And now they've decided Tor would be their next "victim" by spinning up Tor relays on Google Cloud :v: Supposedly they have a 0day Tor vulnerability but until they've proven it, I don't think they really know what they are doing with Tor.

i was wondering how long it'd take for a group of rich kids to buy 50-60k bots and start starting shit. That's only like 1100$ worth of bots too, probably less if they bought them in bulk.
So, he's handing them over vouchers with unique IDs that they will use on their Mega accounts.
With the database remembering which codes they used. With Kim probably remembering which codes he handed out.
So basically, if they use them, he will know their IPs, and if they are dumb enough to put actual shit onto Mega, he will get to see their stuff.
They'd just have to release the rest (or say that they release the rest) to make that fail.
Also he can't see what's in their accounts due to the whole client-side encryption thing (unless he decides to compromise the security of his service selectively, which would be bad for business).
If they have been doxxed? Why arent they arrested yet?
I think the biggest problem is that media outlets name them, giving them the attention they're after.
A news piece played earlier on tv where I am. They named the group, showed a link to their twitter, called them hackers, and suggested that people change their account details/ be cautious with their credit cards.
I'm so happy that the news keeps the little people in their hearts and totally doesn't fear monger/ over exaggerate to get views and recognition.
If they have been doxxed? Why arent they arrested yet?
nothing legally tying those people to the DDoSes. Even though we all know their names/addresses etc, the police cant do shit until they get evidence that connects those names and addresses to the DDoS attacks.
If they have been doxxed? Why arent they arrested yet?
A dox is more targetted to online users who want to show their displeasure rather than police activity.
If they have been doxxed? Why arent they arrested yet?
There's no proof that it's even the same people, do you really want a witch hunt?
Is this guy's name a coincidence or did he change his name to reflect his career?
Ugh, I was out all day, and when I come home, the servers are still down. Looks like it's time to dust off the 3DS and play some games on my backlog.

Clever, to be honest. Will they take the bait? That's another question entirely.
Seriously. Him handing lizard squad to police would be dumb as fuck seeing as same authorities were and still are bumfucking him. If anything it would be in his best interest not to cooperate with authorities.
I'd love to agree with this, but i can't help but think he's trying to acquire "get out of jail free" cards.
I still don't understand why Twitter doesn't just ban the LizardSquad account
What does Twitter have to gain from doing that? LizardSquad will just create a new twitter account, or go somewhere where they won't get banned.
Clever, to be honest. Will they take the bait? That's another question entirely.
they did, and they're no longer going to ddos xbox live or psn
they did, and they're no longer going to ddos xbox live or psn
As in "use the codes" take the bait.
they did, and they're no longer going to ddos xbox live or psn
Sell the accounts and continue the attack.
Even if Kim made them invalid, they would still have the money.

no body uses bots anymore, lizardsquad is just a bunch of people from HF who all have/run booters
oh no, not my TOR!
how am I going to get all my cp now? :downs:
But seriously I'd much rather them kill TOR than say PSN and XBL, and well, pretty much anything else.
You are aware that Tor is used by a lot of legit people who need privacy right? Ranging from governments / military (using the internet in risky areas where they don't want to be traced) to journalists, people in countries with less than perfect human rights etc.
Tor has many many legit users, probably way more than people using it for illegal purposes.
Tor is also used by hospitals for data.
