Family guy hits new low with Domestic Violence Episode

Rejecting a show isn't the right way to put things, just flip the damn channel and watch something else.
Some people find it appealing, some people don't, oh well. But even if they had that choice I can see why it's already offensive. Family Guy was never a good show, never laughed either.
The show was better before 2000.
the show was better when it was cancelled.
A lot here are blaming McFarlane, he hasn't written an episode of Family Guy in years and even wants it to end. This blog post is just some woman overthinking it and taking this show the wrong way, obviously not knowing that Peter's an idiot, and that Joe is merely satirizing the polices (supposed) stance on domestic abuse
I feel a lot of people on here have just jumped on some FG/McFarlane hate bandwagon before even seeing an episode, but when they eventually do they just think of what the rest of FP would think of it and watch it from their apparent perspective
I stopped watching it once I realized that it constantly used the same crappy jokes which consisted of "celebrity did X xD". eg. "YOU THINK THAT'S BAD? COULDN'T BE ANYMORE CATASTROPHIC WHEN ANGELINA JOLIE DECIDED TO PLAY LACROSSE!". It could be funny, but it due it's overuse of it, it became really old too fast. It's not a bandwagon.
Family used to be good several seasons back. The newer episodes are pure junk
Murder joke in family guy = funny
Domestic violence = going too far?
It seems today that all you see is violence in movies and sex on tv
first family guy related joke I've ever laughed at, wow
isnt simpsons just as bad?
Don't know why you're rating him dumb over this just because you like the Simpsons, Homer chokes Bart whenever he's angry.
Think with your head, jesus. Family guy has always been like this, poking fun at sensitive themes etc, just don't watch the episode, pretty sure you don't just have one channel.

Serbian Film wasn't trying to pass itself off as comedy.
Let's just look at a few quotes from the wikipedia article.
who wants to cast Miloš for his legendary ability to get and maintain an erection with no visual or physical stimuli.

Marko says that he misses female company, then goes to the bathroom, clearly frustrated, and masturbates into the basin.

Miloš is then led into a room and instructed to have sex with a physically abused woman while a young girl dressed like Alice from Alice in Wonderland watches.

The adult woman threatens Miloš by biting on his erection,

Raša then proceeds to rape the newborn in what the director calls "newborn porn".
(BABY FUCK IT'S AWWWWRIGHT)
The covers are taken off of the body Miloš is raping to reveal his own son, also drugged and bleeding profusely from his rectum

Miloš jams his erect penis into Raša's empty eye socket, killing him.
That is a fucking goofy movie
I just watched the show to see what was up...
It really wasn't that bad, maybe I'm just desensitized though.
Saw the end coming from the very start.
I watched the episode clip.
The article is completely over-reacting.
Sure, Family Guy is stupid and un-funny, most of the time.
But calling this offensive is just stupid. The entire point of the episode seemed to be AGAINST abuse, and very rarely making fun of it, and when it did, it wasn't that bad.
"Sorry — police policy is that we can't step in until it's too late."
Am I the only one that found this funny?
There was FG episodes like this way before this. With the Brenda chaarcter.
"The person I see before me right now is just a punching bag. And I call you "person," not "woman," because a woman is a strong, beautiful vibrant creature. Sadly, the fact that you are with Jeff proves to me that you have made a choice to make your life worse."
How is this low? He's making a point that if she really wanted the violence to stop, then she should've left the guy.
Reading the article it really sounds like the jokes were parodying society's indifference to domestic abuse instead of condoning it like the writer seems to imply

It's like telling someone with a phobia or drug addiction to, "get over it lol." It's not their joking about it that's offensive, it's that their attempt at taking it serious is about blaming the victim.
I'm pretty sure McFarlane is trying to parody responses to domestic violence (aka the cop being an idiot, Peter being a misogynist) and the abuser himself, not the abused.
Still not very funny though.
it's not supposed to be funny
it's stating a message
i dont see anything wrong with this episode, south park's writers have written far worse shit than this and that show is still on the air
People are just overreacting because they don't like this particular show, it's embarrassing how immature and quick people are to do a 180 on their opinions just because it's against something they don't like.
It's a satire show, for adults. Being offensive is how it thrives.
I think it's funny how butt hurt facepunch gets over family guy, animal abuse, religion, conservatives, and over used memes.
no-one's butthurt, be quiet.

Wow seriously, talk about overreacting
The show is horribly unfunny, but really?
They're not glorifying domestic abuse, they're pulling (extremely small amounts of) humor out of a grim, real life scenario
This episode is no more offensive than any other episode, it's just par for the course with Family Guy's drained attempts at dark humor
I've seen waaaaay worse on Family Guy before.

You are embarrassing, you don't even bother to refute his claims, you don't even bother to make a well formulated sentence
It's sad that these exact things happen in real life. I think It might be really close to reality.
Since I've heard about this shit happen, and what Joe said--is how the police respond to domestic violence.
I reported a domestic violence to 911 and they just asked if they were okay, and the cop even saw red marks of a hand on her face and the cop said: "Alright. Have a good day, you too." and with tears, the girl said. "Okay, *sniff* Thank you, officer."
Seriously..damn. I feel bad for these peeps.

to refute your claims: he made no claims to refute
as bad as family guy normally is I'd call this a new high
Im pretty sure mcfarlane is doing this on purpose, if I recall he wants the show ended.
